Hamburgers if I'm cooking them any day (gots ta be spicy!!!) but I won't eat hamburgers from a fast food place, so hotdogs otherwise |

I like burgers more... There's this amazing burger place in the chicago area, it's this small chain named Portillo's. I forgot the website/phone number, but you can order delivery from anywhere in the country. Next time I go there I'll get the number/website and post it here. It's really great food, they've won awards for the best hotdogs in the country but thier burgers are amazing too. |

Burgers. Hot Dogs are made from left over meat in the factorys...they just take bits and shove them in pig intestine(the outside, thats why it looks tied or something, because it is.) Ham Burgers are just pure meat, not the left overs in a baggie. I eat both, but burgers own em.

| Some days I have the cravings for a hamburger -- others I dont. At school I usually eat a hotdog everyday -- so now im pretty sick of them. |

Half true. I live in texas, my grandfather is a CPA but also owns a ranch, as well as my other uncle, but only to sell. My grandfather, father, brother and I, every summer work for the packaging, we butcher the animals, package them, and distribute. First of all, there is no absolute, one company may make pure pork patties and weenies, or pure beef, a 50/50 mixture, a 80/20 mixture, a 78/22 mixture, so on and so forth, there are also chicken (stupid.. so ineffecient) companies... Anyway, Patties are usually (I would estimate 70-85% on a nation wide average) are pure source meat, otherwise with such a little mixture that its not considered. Hot dogs, or weenies, are otherwise, they are almost always a strong mixture, because, as was previously stated, its all the scrap meat. Anyone know how they make bologna? If you don't, good, if you do, do you eat it? You do? your sick. Hot dogs are made primarily of the spinal viscinity meat and brain stem, but not the actual tissure there of, they are also comprised of the meat scraped off the bones and other portions of the animals that were not prepared for packaging during patties, the primary money maker for any company. These are all then placed into a grinder, and thus, well.. grinded, then stringed out to make ground meat, from this, half will go to produce weenies, the rest ground chuck or ground meat. Bologna, is made up of all the odd parts.. and you probably won't believe me, but its' true.. Eye balls.. brains, sternums, lungs, livers, kidneys.. anything they can't use elsewhere, they stuff into the batch to be grinded up and processed into bologna. anyway, I would say hot dogs are my favorite, because I love grilling them, but if done correctly, a cheeseburger is a wonderful thing. |
