I would pick the desktop because it has much more power to it and a better sound system.

Desktop. Why would you even consider using a laptop if you had a choice between the two. The only thing better about laptop's is that they are portable.

I use a desktop and a laptop. I've never heard of labtops before though.

Desktop > Labtop
Mainly because lap? labtops are much more $$$ and the screens look like shit for most games...

Well I have a desk top. I can not afford to have both. But if I could I would. What is the largest laptop screen out in the market right now. I think apple has a 17"

I have both, but I can game and type better on my desktop. But either is okay.

I use both currently. I have a wireless router in my house, and I have a wireless card installed in the laptop. So it's quite convenient. Whether it be in bed, on the crapper, or on the backyard... it's nice. It's centrino with a Radeon 9200 so... plenty of Graphical power to spare.
My desktops are nice gaming rigs too.. so I choose both.

Laptop all the way... I love it, I can take it anywhere and since money isn't really a problem for me I can get a laptop that beats the average PC. I go over to my friends' houses all the time with it and we can play Counter-Strike or StarCraft over a LAN connection, that's some sweet fun.

Well the thought of being in a game and then having to do something or go somewhere else in the house for various reasons with a laptop on a wireless connection is great. It makes everything alot easier, and if people are telling you to get away from your desk more than you can just walk around with it lol...but desktops are alot more powerful and cheaper to upgrade....so having both is good
