If any of you use to play ladder 1v1 you should know that one of the best strats used on SC is the push tank strat. its where u will build some melee type units and a bunch of tanks and SCV's and u put tanks in siege mode and build turrets then u push tanks up more and build more turrets but u must have some melee block unit to fend off enemies from tanks. Ive seen multiple replays of top ladder players including tillerman using this strat |

This is a good strategy, but it has a lot of weaknesses. *** Protoss -First, all a protoss player has to do to hit those tanks with scouts or to drop zealots on them is hit the couple of turrets with a disruption web. -Stasis Field works great against tanks, it lets you kill off the turrets and ground units with a zealot/dragoon combination, then you can use whatever you want to kill the tanks. ***Terran -A way for a terran player to counter this, is to set up his own siege tanks, blocking the origional player's adavance. -Another thing you can do, is outflank his tanks with some BCs, use the Y-Gun on the turrets for a one hit kill, then come down on the tanks with a few wraiths. ***Zerg -For zerg, a couple of dark swarms will get a pack of 24 lings straight to the tanks. -Guardians will own this strategy. -A couple of queens can easily hit the tanks with Spawn Broodlings. ***All -Simply go around him, ignore his troops and hit his base. -Try to hit his tanks with air while they're moving and/or before the turrets are constructed. This also works with cloaked units. -If you have surplus resources, swarm the area with cheap fast ground units. (Zerglings or Zealots work best.) | I like the terren and I use the turets and bunkers to pretecke me and I com after the the opponets with flying units |

well.. you can prevent them easily by providing enough backups and early scouting by your wraith first. You wont go wrong too far.. I used this strats for years.. |

| It's an effective strategy, it just doesn't take much to beat it. Anyone who uses a very mobile strategy can beat this easily. |

| i dont think its that good because it is to easy to beat and i think it is a good befense i usually stick a tank behind each of my bunkers and a couple or air turrets and ur set |

| terran versus terran tank wars, is a simple thing. Simply do this, set up your tanks IN A STRAIGHT LINE, close to his, and walk ONE marine into his tank fire. Note where the corpse lays on the ground, that is the range of sight for the tank, it is 10 sight units (which is not how far a tank can shoot) , the tank can shoot 12 sight units. So what you do, is you note where the corpse of the marine was, and set up your tanks, just behind it, shield ur tanks with sci vessals (forget name of skill), then send a vessal foward to allow the tanks to see the enemy, make sure ur tanks are BEHIND the corpse, where his tanks can not see, unless assited by an air unit. What this does is give you an opportunity to kill his tanks, or at least ensure he can't advance them any further. where you go from there is up to you. |

| lol guyz u gotta improvise a little .... like in warcraft if some one says mass grunts and stuff ur always gonna throw in a few shams and docs to give a little boost to ur army...so dont think its so ez to counter and this is only for a solo game remember |

| one best tactic to over come a TvT tank pust is by air strike or locking them down with ghost. So far the most sucessful tactic is still using ghost, because they can sneaks into range undetected and fires the missiles quick enough. very efficient and time saving. |
