Hey, I saw it in my old games stack, and decided to install it into my new comp. okay, when I log on, somehow it doesn't recognize my internet, and therefore i cant connect. even when i try to update it, it doesnt recognize the internet.
any thoughts about what i should do?

Update to 1.6 and use STEAM.

No don't use steam, STEAM BLOWS, haha, anyway, look for the 1.5 patch, I looked on counter-strike.net, and it appears there only going steam now  , but If I find a 1.5 patch I'll post it for you.

uhg!!! i get all set up, then I get into searching for servers. When I try to connect to a server, i only get three bars on the little dload bar connection thingy. then i time out! what am i doing wrong, or how do i fix it?!

dl it online, it comes with all the patches. and explain alittle more please. What buttons do you use, what patch do you have? Some general info.

It sounds like you need to open the ports for Counter-Strike.
I dont know them by heart, but when I get home I will look for the thread that I made on it on another forum.

I have to go with AutumnTwilight, steam blow big time, i try my best to stay away from it and play 1.5.(which is da bomb) but i think i have the 1.5 patch if you still need it. all you got to do is ask.

1.5 is the most unbalanced sh!t i ever played... yes steam blows for hosting but the shit is balanced... keep it real yall
