I've been wondering this for awhile, I made an old pvm sorc, with nova and orb and she killed, but now I just started agian and I don't know what's good anymore.. I'm making an mf sorc, and i was thinking maxing. . . orb, cold mastery, then thunder and light mastery, if you can help please do haha
*also I know it's not the right section for this, but is ladder starting over soon?*

STAY AWAY FROM LIGHTNING!!! it SUX now! big time! I made my first sorc cold/light, and she does ok (i have pretty fucking good equip) but she can BARELY handle act 3 hell!

I recommend that you go either a Blizzard Cold Sorceress by Maxing out Blizzard and all it Synergies or Fire Ball & Meteor Sorceress by maxing out Fire Ball and all its Synergies.

not only blizz can does it i maxed orb and mastery (no synergies it sucks) and i can handle pindle hell (sometimes its hard but still) and with orb meph is sooo easy and andy too but u cannot make the pit with frost sorc .the only place u can mf is meph,pindle,andy all the rest got cold imune (still the1 u can does is the best place to mf)

Pure fire sorcs are ok, just make sure you got a good merc, either act 3 or act 5, depending on your gear.
I'm a lvl 90 fire sorc, When I MF i usually have around 600, give or take, and my meteor does around 25k, fireball around 14k, with fighter gear on meteor is above 32, fireball above 17, but its a MF sorc, not pvp.
My merc is an act 5 barb, with a gf, enigma, and gaze, and we can pretty much handle anything, baals minions are the hardest thing to do, there all immune to fire, and my merc sometimes just can't tank them all.. if i got rid of the gf and put on a faster cruel i could probably do it.. but gf doesnt swing fast enough for the leech to kick in...
I'v seen act 3 mercs own, because of the polearm weps and what have you.. its all preference.

So, if I go meteor i'll have to max, [meteor, fireball, fire mastery] is that all?
Oh one other thing, I just started 2 weeks ago. (after one year of not playing) I have no good gear, sept my druid who has gavel of pain, jalals 199% D  but that's all I got, so is that still good with the gear i'll have .. prob socketed with topazs in them haha

fire bolt is also a synergy.
and only put a few points into warmth.. it'll be boosted by your fire charms.
And you can put any excess points (after teleport.. eshield.. armor, etc.) into inferno.. it adds dmg to meteor.

Orb is shit I never said to put any Points in to that, just Blizzard and all its Synergies and that is a good build.

well i did this : i went blizz, maxed all sygens and all the rest into mastary, works fine with pindle and meph, just do the little secret and tele to the place where he cant hit u, but u can hit meph, works ecerythign for me...when i had my account

Lightning is shit see everyone agrees Fire and Cold are best but then agen i recon Lightning is good for PvM cuz Chain Lightning hits lots of targets.

not with 6 lightning GCs and perfect griffons  Lightning shoot faster compared to fire ball or galactical spikes (whatever the name is). I saw my friends lightning sorc, he OWNED everyone in the game.

Thunder used to own in 1.09 pvp. I had maxed orb and thunder with masteries. She raped.

naa...dont go sorc for mf get a barb and get a martel or something 2 handed unless u got like a good 1 handed sword with shield barbs always the best choice *LIFE* and rape full games u get betta drops
