hey guys...Im thinkin of holding the first sof2 {GV} tournament...only condition is I will hold it once we reach 10 active members... these are the specs for the tournament... - deathmatch - no M203 (grenade on m4) - no rpg - no grenade launcher - no hacks/bots (none allowed in {GV} clan) - no whining map on which this tournament will take place is still up for discussion and if any of you see any other rules that should be added just post here. The prize for this tournament is $20.00 either in cash or in a e-bay item worth $20.00 of your choice. Again once we reach 10 active members we will have this tournament...I believe now if im not mistaken we have 5 so start recruiting  Practice well |

On this name because other is having problems. ------ We've got about 6 or 7 active members actually, depending on how you consider wardog. We've got about 12 members total, but I think i'm going to kick out 4 or 5 of them due to inactivity. Tournament idea sounds awesome, and I like all the rules. I think we should break it down though. If were going to do it with 10 people, lets have first place get 50% ($10), second place get 25% and third place get 25% ($5 each) Just evens it up where more people get a prize, keeps morality up. Also, since you didn't say it, I guess i'll donate the prize money. As for the map, it will NOT be highwire 2, I might as well just send you the money if it was. Jordan or shop2. |

Nah..it was my idea so im the prize will be from me unless you want to also throw 20 onto it to make a total of 40 in the pot...but I have a few big paychecks commin in so I can afford it... Agreed that it shouldent be high wire 2..not everyone has gone through sniper pratice... shop 2 and jordan are 2 maps that are used constantly between all our members....so do you think it is a good idea fot it to be a map that everyone plays on alot or maybe one that everyone is not so used to such as...maybe...raven..or finca... another thing is taht seeing as how we dont have our own server we will need to talk to our allies (NBK) to see if they would be willing to let us use thier server for this and maybe give a admin authority to either you or myself so we can boot all non {GV} members |

I wouldn't use NBK. I'm thinking of cancelling our alliegiance with them. Kane (the admin of server and clan) has not spoken with me in awhile, and most of their members do not even know of our alliance. Piss poor communication. As to finding a server, I can either host one from my server and make due, or we can easily find an empty server and then just vote someone a referee. |

aight then... lets go on NBK server and see whats up with them...also we need to e-mail BEEZ to try to form a strong alliance there or maybe even GZS....ive personally fought both clans and they are very good fighters but this is off topic well...if you host a server off your own comp what are the draw backs...just lag? cause if so that wouldent be fair cause you shouldent get any lag cause its your comp but all other GV members will cause they are all running off our comp so it would be a big advantage....i think imma agree with your suggestion of voting as a ref and it will most likely be you because you have more sof admin exp then I do... But back to the money situation...I have no problem at all puttin money down for this tourney alone...But if you also want to put some down to make pot bigger then thats also fine... {GV}-{CS21} raised a good question to me on aim...will this tourney be RD or normal dmg...that needs to be voted on by all that will be participating.. I can go either way so either is fine with me but if anyone has a preference post it here alone with any thoughts you may have about the tournament |

I think we should play Normal Damage....because it wouldnt just show who could fire the first couple of shots but have consistency in their aim and show how well they can dodge a bullet....oo well just a suggestion but the tourney was a great idea proach CS21 |

I'm a big fan of real damage, that's just me personally. I honestly have no problem with either, but you asked preference, RD is mine. As far as running the tournament off a server hosted off my computer, nobody would experience any lag, anyone else and me included. T, you know about my computer and connection . If it's going to be 10 members only, I think $20 is fine, and I'll pay $10 of it if you want to split it, unless your arrogant ass is set on paying for it, I don't really care. Once we have bigger tournies, we can start having more contributions. I just had a good idea, but I want to think on it more and it needs to be written out on paper first anyway.. another topic altogether. But something I know everyone will like and agree on. And I vote jordan as the map. |

so then you can contribute 10 and make the over all pot $30.00 what we can do to test your conn is have 4 members join a game that you host off your comp...most likely it will be you, me, CS21 and !ndex...4 should be fine to test the conn and we will tell you if we are gewttin aly lag at all that would keep up from preforming our best... Alrighty. Update. Clan website is in process by taco himself. Details will be disclosed at a later date, it's coming along alright. The tournament will be held monday at 1pm CST/2pm EST. Please respond here and state if your going to participate. If we have 3 people sign up, then 3 people will play, if 20 sign up, then 20 will play. If you are not yet a clan member and wish to become one, participate in the tournament. Then post here and you will be given a tryout by me or proach77, the other clan Admin. AIM is logicbomb18 if anyone needs to contact me. You can also find the teamspeak IP in one of the pinned topics. On another note, if you have any ideas of coming into the TS server and harassing or doing stupid, obnoxious shit. You will be banned, and an 'i'm sorry, was just joking' will not remove it. Nobody has the authority to remove a ban from the teamspeak server but me, but others DO have the right to ban you. So be intelligent, not ignorant. |

I am participating for one... CS21 and !ndex I know you 2 live close to eachother so if you are confuzed at all about what time the tourny is msg either me or logic and we will tell you what time it is. |

Chris, you don't need to donate to the tournament. But, if you want to donate to the 'server' fund, then I can give you my paypal email address or real life address depending on what you want to do, same goes for anyone else. |

| i'm participating and i'm devon AKA dev (he made me write it). I agree with everything so far except that there should be a no camping rule and i think it' a little odd if second and third place have the same prize amount. i was thinking about it and i think it might be better to have a 60/25/15 or something so that the places are a bit more spread out than they are now. |

good observations.. new rule is no camping.. another thing I was thinking about is...what is considered a win..lol I would say first to 50 or most kills after a half hour wins.... this is also up for debate.....post your thoughts here.... I agree with dev on the face about the prize splitting... so everyone should vote on that also |

Uh even though im not participating in this tournament you should not make up the rule NO Camping Camping is part of the game and is a stratagy in most parts. Now if its not a tournament then i think its find but if you want to have a fair tournament i think you should let the players camp... besides its just wasting there time to get more kills anyway but really it isnt fair to take out part of the game just because you hate people that sit in a corner and aim for your ass if you walk buy =P just my thought if you want to keep the rule its find but dont expect people to keep playing in tournaments if these rules are made =P |

well even though I somewhat agree with what you are saying...camping is cheap as hell and personally looked down upon by me...but what I will do is put it up to vote....what do you all think ...camping or no camping.. I wouldent be this anal about it if it was a sniper server but its not so i just really really do not want camping... so far in this vote we have 2 votes no camping 1 vote camping... vote here |

Price split, I got greedy. 1st = 50% 2nd = 25% 3rd = 15% and 10% to the server fund. But that's just me.. i'm tired of telling everyone that GV doesnt have their own server. As far as the camping.. wake up.. its going to be a deathmatch game, there is nothing to camp. As far as finding a spot to shoot from, thats all there is to it. If you wanted to look at it like that, thats like telling people you can't get on the wire in jordan, or you can't run back and forth across the bridge, or you can't get in the balcony. "camping" doesnt exist in non-ctf/inf/dem games. But according to the definitions put here, "camping" will be allowed. --'voted'-- |

10% to server fund I duno if I agree with that one...I agree that it is annoying not having our own server but this is a {GV} tournament the money should go to the tournament not the server... Ive said this before in aim convos with you logic starting on the 30th I am going to be getting much much bigger checks from going full time at work and will be able to contribute to the server fund... |

Yah, theres pros and cons to every way you look at it, but i'll do it like this The way I look at it, this is a {GV} event, where you and I are donating money as the prize. In future events, others may donate, and when we have a server its a monthly fee, and seeing as how sometimes members won't contribute, I think it would be a good idea to start a % going to the server fund from various {GV} events, to keep the funding up. CS21 has informed me he intends to donate monthly, which is solid. Just an idea to think about. |

Yeah im gonna try to donate money monthly for benefit of GV clan, no one else besides you 2 seem to be steppin up and volunteering so why dont i just help you guys out, its alot of money for just 2 people to put on their shoulders, im not the wealthiest kid so im not gonna be able to slip you big bills every time but ill do my best to give you consistent amounts of money CS21 |

Yes. This tournament was cancelled due to things outside of our control. I will be purchasing a server out of my pocket sometime in the extreme near future. *closed* |
