Would you consider purchasing the next console from Nintendo. Consider GameCube -- a mild failure. And the Nintendo DS - just looks retarded. Who knows? Would you consider purchasing it?

Being a GameCube owner -- im suprised you have so much.. hate towards Nintendo! Another kinda funny article is that Nintendo's annual profits sliced in half for 2004!
Its still pretty crazy though. Even with the profit cut in half, they are making over 270 million dollars a YEAR! Jesus!

Well I love nintendo no doubt (yes I'm still a little kid even tho I'm 20), but you have to face the fact that this will be the LAST console they will make... they will eventually be exactly like sega... a GAME maker not a console maker

I think they needed to do this..... PS and XBox are kicking Gamecube's ass right now, and if Nintendo wasn't to do anything soon, they would definetley be dead.....

To DS to a new console... Nitendo needs to give it up, I cannot belive there actually making a positive profit out of all of this so i would defiantly not purchase this...

I'm probably going to stop buying products from nintendo until they come out with a decent system. I personally think they have only came out with one so far which is the gameboy advanced.

All the gameboys were pretty amazin (- GameBoy Pocket). They all had great games, and were overall pretty good. I was disipointed with the First Advance -- it was extremly hard to see. They fixed it right up with the SP tho  .
I will prlly end up picking up the next Nintendo console, but I really dont want to see nintendo die. They are THE best game developers ever (but not the best console for sure V_V)

There Great developers dont get me wrong but i dont think they have good advertising for there consoles / games.
You have to make people want to buy it not just see what its like. Alot of people i know just want to try the console out so they buy it and see what its like.
Even though most other people do that too Nitendo doesnt really "make people want the game" But it is on a high demand because all of nitendo's consoles have been succesful.

I don't want to see Nintendo die either but the company will soon come to an end because it is lacking of games that will extract more people to the console. For instance, with Halo on XBox. Some people just buy XBox for the game Halo. It is a great game no doubt but I was stating an example.
If Nintendo does happen to die, then the games and consoles can be sold on Ebay and you might make money off of them since some are "ancient". Like NES or SNES, those will probably be worth something.
