I have a problem everytime i log onto battle.net for diablo. I click on battle.net then it says: Searching for the fastest server... It times out and says unable to connect to battle.net? I know my internet is working so Im confused? Is my CD-Key banned or something? Or would it tell me if it was? I tried reloading the game but it still happens. I e-mailed for tech support and well I havent got a response! I would like if you guys could help me. Thx |

It will say your CK Key is banned, so don't worry. Try contacing your ISP...... How long has this been happening? |

| For about 3 days now... Im starting to get pretty mad because hey WTF i paid 50 bucks for it and now i cant play like WTH man. What excatly should i ask my ISP(Internet Service Provider)? Which is Sympatico High Speed Edition. |

Tell them you are unable to play over some Multiplayer video games...... Make sure you say that you contacted Blizzard, even if you didn't.

No, I dont think thats a CD-KEY ban. You get that when you (A) Cant log into your accounts, or more popular ( Cannot Connect to BNET Message.

If you want to change your IP and you don't know other methods, contact your ISP and tell them that you have been reading home security forums and they all state that it is a good idea to have your IP changed once every 6 months (which is true) and that you are now worried and would like it changed. That's all they need to know, after all, you're there customer. |

| well if you can't connect to battlenet, then your cd key or ip is banned from the server. another possibility is your firewall, did you recently change any settings on your firewall or internet security? |

Where did you get your CD Key from, is it legit or did you get it from some Diablo 2 site. That happended to me, but I found out it was because I had lent my cd-key to a friend. |

under BNupdate i found this. Hopefully this helps. I've check the forums at battle.net and seems that other people are experiencing the same problem. Blizzard BNUpdate v2.72 compiled on Oct 16 2003 Log created at 11:08 pm on 05/31/2004 Registry error loading key 'Patch\Patches' The system cannot find the file specified. WARNING: couldn't delete registry key The system cannot find the file specified. WARNING: couldn't delete registry key The system cannot find the file specified. RESULT: Patch failed P.S: I went and got the patches manually and still nothing. |

| It's ok now i've fix the problem manually without help from useless blizzard! What happened is that some maphacks and bots will work but once you log off b.net it will make battle.net look for a different ip then the one you have. result: You will never be able to connect because it's looking for some wild ip that doesn't exist in web space. Solution. Well i just reseted battle.net withing the registry keys. If you want more info just ask me. |

Liquid- Lmao, use the edit button- and this is the d2 section if u havent noticed... Thebismark- You tried email? That never works, the do a automated respaunce half of the time (after 6 pm eastern). You always have to try the phone becouse: 1. Its much much faster 2. Usualy you get a responce from someone at blizzard 3. That registry key thing u would of been told wayyyyyyy before u had to post here. 4. Why am I wasting my time doing this... ADMIN!!!! Time to close it
