Well ive heard rumors of the d2 ladders getting reset soon, and one of my friends says a person in his clan works at blizz "i dont know if this is true" but he stated that even said that the ladders would be reset sometime soon. Tho i would find it a shock to come on and see all my charictors as lvl 1 or even deleted i think it would be good to do this to put everyone on an equal playing field. It's hard to trade for something when all people want is runes or soj's because they have pretty much every good item in the game, so in my opinion it would be a good thing if the ladders were reset mabe even non ladder charictors even tho i dont play non ladder and i hope this is done soon.

I doubt that your friend has a person in his clan who works for Blizzard.
But if true, I would hate it if they reseted the ladders. If people want to restart then just let them create a new account.
I would probally quit Diablo 2 LOD, if such thing happened, especially now that I have Sigon.

Maybe reseting the ladder would be a bad idea for people on ladder but what about the people not on ladder? some people(like me) want to play on ladder but since so many good items and stuff were found, i'd be pretty far behind. If it resets, then everyone could start off even instead of having huge advantages over other. maybe a new place could be formed for "used to be" ladder characters so that they wont lose their stuff but people would start off as they want

I think it's fair that some people have huge advantages over others. Those people who have the huge advantages have probally worked hard to achieve their rank and would like to stay that way.
But I have to also agree with K-9, it would be pretty cool if they created a new place so that the lower levels aren't the weakest players. But then again when new players come, they might feel that there should be a new place so that they aren't far behind, but we never know maybe when more people come to play the game they might want a new server and then it'll go on and on like that.
So that idea of a new place for noobs or low level players would probally not work.

if they restart all char and item of ladder will be transfered in non-ladder that what ive heard and i think the idea is good

What hes saying is that ladder chars would have a different server than regular ladder, where they could hang out and still use their charecters.
I really want ladder to reset, it seems so much easier, and there are more itmes and easier ways to get runes.....

You will not lose you current ladder characters when the ladder season resets. Your ladder characters will just turn into non-ladder characters. Resetting the ladder would be good, a fresh economy. Just get a char up high enough to pindle and bot for a while, then sell on ebay.

I dont think they would be transfered to non-ladder, i think what zbomber said is going to happen. What about the items only found in ladder? would they make new items and make the old ones possible to find on non-ladder? Maybe not. That might require a whole new patch which i dont think blizzard is going to do.

blizz announced this WAY back when I still played...they will change all ladder charcters (and items) to non-ladder. No you won't be able to find them in non-ladder.

they will not disapper... they will go to non-ladder... BUT you can't find them (ie - can't kill baal and they will NOT drop)
