Ralcore sat alone in the Green Dragon tavern, silently nursing his pint. Shadowed in the corner, Ralcore kept quiet, watching and listening to the other patrons. Just as he was beginning to think there would be no amusement this night, the door blew open and slammed back into the wall. In strode Logic, his reputation dancing in the air. Known for his uncanny ability to cause trouble, Logic was oft avoided by those who had cause to worry. Without missing a beat, Logic strode right into the corner and sat next to Ralcore, a feat few men would attempt. Comfortably pooring himself some ale from the picher, Logic slammed his boots up onto the table and leaned back in his chair, which creaked in protest. Whiping the foam from his beard, Logic finally regarded his companion with a smile. "So how have ye been, ya rascal?" Ralcore, his movements barely perceptable even to Logic's trained eye, swept the leg from Logic's chair back, toppling him forward and slamming his face on the table. "Fairly fair, fairly fair," Ralcore replied, in between his laughter. Logic took the prank in stride. The two had been friends for a good long time, and it was impossible to remember who was ahead in the contest of jokes and insults after all these years. "Any fun to be had t'night?" Logic semed hopeful. Ralcore glanced around the room again, and was dismayed. "Seems not, my friend." He sighed. "Looks like we can call her an early night." Just as the two were about to get up to pay the barmaid, the door creaked open again. They could not see the face of the man due to a trick of the candle light, but they had the distinct feeling that their night was about to change. Logic and Ralcore sat back into the shadows as one, knowing their fun had arrived. **Feel like testing the flame masters? Write yourself into the story as the one enterring the door.
