Posted By TMaC on 7/18/04 @ 9:21:20 PM
I just finished making a signature in Photoshop. It is not good because I have only had Photoshop for three days now. I just wanted to show you it to get some suggestions. Also, I wanted to show you a picture of me on my dirtbike. Here is my sig, please don't laugh.

What kind of tiny cropped pics, UWS?

I made the picture smaller and took out all of those gamingvoids. Now I don't think that it looks as plain.

I would like to make it better and get suggestions from you guys, but this is my fourth day with Photoshop and I am not good with it.

Well if you have another pick of you with your dirtbike then freehand croping it out and paste it in just to give the picture a little more action if you know what i mean?

You have to look at tutorials! In order to learn more about the program, that is what you have to do.

You can also look here for tutorials that I made for here:

Here is the link to the tutorial list that I posted:

Right now, the signature that you have made isn't really good. It still looks plain though. You have to add more action as UwantSum had said. Keep working at it and I am sure that you will eventually come out with something that looks better and isn't so plain. Good job though.

I guess you all forgot that it is my fourth day with the program. I guess I am the stupid one for posting my stupid picture. What ever, I just wanted to show you a picture of me. Thanks for the tutorials though.

You have to remember though that the only way that you can get better is tutorials. I know it is your fourth day but you still have to try something like with what AT and Logic are doing. The thing is, is that you use tutorials and then learn things that you will use in later use. In the long run, you won't need any tutorials for graphics unless it concerns something that you might want to learn that you haven't already learned.

That is you in the picture? It is kind of hard to see that it was you because you hadn't told us it was you until now.

No one forgot it was your fourth day but I suggest that you should try working with tutorials. Good job and I hope to see some more work from you.

Ya, it is me on my dirtbike.

I am using a tutorial from photoshopcafe at the moment. Thanks for posting the site. I am learning how to engrave type and simple things like that. Hopefully I can make a good signature in a while. This program is hard to learn in my opinion. There is just so much that you can do with it.

Posted By rocket2234 on 7/19/04 @ 12:01:06 PM
That is good. Also, try using http://www.good-tutorials.com because I had learned a lot from that site. It does take a while to learn about the program but once you get used to using it, I am sure that you will be good with it.

Just don't give up because you won't learn anything from doing so.

Ok, I am going to check out good tutorials. You are right. I should keep trying. Maybe I might even learn how to make something worth showing. smile.gif

Photoshop is a VERY hard program, I'm pretty good at it, but still trying to master it.

the only thing that I can tell you about PS is to TAKE YOUR TIME! If you get in a big hurry with every img... they will all look like ass.

Posted By UwantSum on 7/19/04 @ 4:01:37 PM
Defiantly go to good-tutorials and you will make better images in no time... Though alot of there tutorials are abstract effects and what not. They have some good image enhancing ones too.

I just learned how to do a whirl. I think that it looks okay, but I was wondering if you guys knew how to make it better.

First off, you should use a different color of text because Red really doesn't go well with blue. Also, you should try combining different tutorials to do so that you can make a different outcome. It looks alright, I guess but keep working at it.

Good job.

too much writing and is it only a pic you took on the net

Posted By rocket2234 on 7/20/04 @ 6:40:09 AM
It isn't a picture he took off of the net. It is a picture of himself. I think you should try reading the rest of threads so that you know what has been talked about.

I am not sure how to combine tutorials. Could you give me an example?

I am not any good at this program, but I did a few tutorials and came up with two backgrounds. I was wondering if you thought that they would lookokay in a signature. If not, I am open to any suggestions.

Here they are:

Looking good TMac, first one looks cool

I dunno if they would work well with sigs, but they are cool designs never the less.
