Myie2 Pop-up Blocker Myie2 Pop-up Blocker (Origional Post)

Ok, I've been using MyIE2 for a while now, but for some reason after I got my new computer and installed it, it takes FOREVER to block pop-ups. I'm talking like 3-5 mins per pop-up. Anyone else that uses it knows that it will basicly freeze MyIE2 for a few seconds while it blocks it so I can't use my internet for like 5 freaking mins!

O and it doesn't do that here at work, or on my old computer. Any suggestions?

If you insist on using IE, then I can't really help you.

I'm a walking talking advertisement for Mozilla Firefox. You get the popup blocking, the tabbed browsing, the award winning browser plugins and developer's extentions, and it's supposedly the fastest browser out, right now. My suggestion to you is to download it, and see if you like it or not. Sorry, I don't know much about MyIE2.

MyIE2 is pretty much the same thing as Firefox... But I'm not switching... Any good help out there?

The google toolbar does an exellent popup blocking job for me. Maybe you should try it.

Maybe try re-installing it?

http://update.mozilla.org/extensions/?application=firefox

There ya go.

Sorry I couldn't be of any help, Lincoln, but that's the beautiful part of having a forum like this. If I can't help, someone else could.

Oh, Platnum, the Google Toolbar is built into Firefox.

Pretty vague advice, but maybe check for Spyware or Trojans.....

Syth - Thanks. smile.gif

well I have not spyware or trojans, and the google toolbar and alexa toolbar are both integrated with MyIE2 also...

anyone know of a way I can shut it off then? I can toy with it from there.

It probably should NOT do that. Try reinstalling. If not, google it so see if everyone else has that problem.
