As I'm reading through GAMERS reviews (no... not magazines, not professionals, etc... I mean REAL gamers... like you and me) it seems as if only about 1 in 5 woudl even recommend the game!
Everyone agree's that these graphics are untouchable by anyother game, but the game (storyline) is VERY similar to .... Half-Life?!?! Everyone is agreeing that this game looks and plays like half-life which was made almost 7 years ago!
Have you played doom III yet? Are you getting it after all these reviews?
I have yet to get it, and I most likly WON'T after reading these reviews. I'm not trying to spook anyone out of it, but this is in 4 out of every 5 reviews I read! I'm extremely let down, and I will sulk now v_v

I downloaded it last night, and I don't think it's overhyped. It runs slow as shit on my computer though... that's the biggest problem for me. It plays decently, the graphics are fuckin' amazing, and I play games for multiplayer anyways, so I really don't care what the story line is.
It's an awsome game, and if I had a better machine the game would rock even more then it does.
I will eventually buy it when the price comes down and there is more multiplayer support.

Yeah well considering all the hype it's been getting it might not completely live up to everyone expectations, but I'm still going to get it because besides all that chances are it's gonna be one hell of a sweet game to play.

The game doesnt even slightly interast me. It got pretty good reviews, but it just looks very... whats the word... stupid as hell? It may be a fun play, but im not going to waste any time to update my computer.
I will wait for an XBOX version.

Its a pretty fun game. The graphics are insane. Its also scary as hell, I was like sweating when I was playing it. Things pop out at you from nowhere, its insane.

I downloaded it awhile ago and the graphics are great. But the storyline blows and the "bad guys" suck.

i just played a little but you need to listen to what ppl say in a fps game  and its really complicated compared to other doom game

ya rofl i got a 1.2 ghz with an ati radeon 9700 pro and still need to put grap to min + every extra to no (like shadows) they recommomend a 3.2 ghz i think its just too much
