| I was wondering if it would be possible for me to get rid of all of the pop ups I get. I just cleaned up all of the adware I had, so my PC is free from anything like that. I just want to know if I can get rid of all of those other annoying pop ups that I get at most sites. Does anyone know of a free and secure program that could do this? And do you use a pop up blocker? What do you think of them? |

Use spy bot search and destroy, just look on google (I think its http://www.spybot.info) - and thats the best out there. I switched browsers completely, and I dont have that problem anymore, to any extent. Its great. Try Mozilla Firefox. |

I have Spybot, and it is great. I used it to clean up a lot of my problems. I will see if I can get Mozilla Firefox. I am using Internet Explorer at the moment. Maybe that is my problem.

Hahahhahahah. You have pop-ups? Reformat. You have lots of porn? Reformat. Your graphics card fucked up? Reformat. Your power supply got fried? Reformat. God damn, give some real advice. And, HijackThis helps if you use IE..which isn't smart anyway. |

I do not really want to reformat my computer. That is too much work for me. I just dowloaded Mozilla Firefox. It is awesome. I haven't recieved any pop ups yet like I used to. Internet Explorer=bad Mozilla Firefox=good I love it how each web page has its own tab so you only need one window for all of your web pages. Thanks again for your help. |

easy buy a firewall get rid of spyware and that should do it sygate is a good firewall and for spyware remover ad-aware 6.0 is good (from lavasoft) |

| I have my own firewall and XP has one too. I am fine with fire walls. I will get XP Service Pack 2 when it comes out though. It is supposed to be more secure than XP Service Pack 1. The pop ups have stopped now that I have Mozzila Firefox. It has a pop up blocker. |

Spybot is good. I have it. Also, try Ad-aware 6.0. Switching browsers is a good way to stop pop ups also. Mozilla Firefox has a built in pop up blocker. |

I don't think so, Tokin. I still got adware when I used Mozilla Firefox. Mozilla Firefox just has a pop up blocker so you can't see the adware. You are still infected with it though and it still does its job, you just don't notice. |

How do you know? I don't think that is what I am using. I do think Mozilla Firefox is better than Internet Explorer. I am happy I got it. |
