Does anyne know a way to speed up a computer. I have Windows XP. Every time I try to login it take like 10 min. just to load my personal settings. I not sure if it has an undetecable virus or somthing. So basicly if anyone has any idea of how to fix this problem please reply.

This also happens to me, but I have a HP. Try to run some disk defragmenters and see if that can help. If that does not work, reformat time.

Happened to me a long time ago. Save all important files and reformat. That is if Disk defragment doesn't work though.... Virus scanners and adware scanners can help too.

Try removing programs from your startup (Run > MSCONFIG > Startup). Then try deleting history, cache, and temp files. That may help.

Believe it or not, spyware and adware could make your PC run like shit. Go into the Ask Black-Syth thread, and look up how to get rid of the shit. That's probably your problem.
