What is your favorite event in the Olympics? Mine is gymnastics. I like how do cartwheels on the balance beem, and stuff like that. It's also cool when they vault. They run up do a handspring land on the springy thing, do a double or a triple flip and land it

so far it would either be swimming (GO PHELPS!), soccer (only cause of Iraq's nice run!), or womens softball (cause we're SOOO dominant!)

I still don't know how they do a front flip with no trouble and land on a balance beem. It's crazy like pineapple.

meh... what I'm impressed with is those skeet shooters a few mins ago! It might not be as interesting to you all, but me... being a Redneck and a Hunter... I'm very intregued by it Myself and a friend were crackin' on them anyways though, cause we would bet that 95% of the people in the finals have never even been hunting! V_v

I think they are used to it. They probably hit the ball with a certain part of their hand or something so it doesn't hurt too bad.

The only thing I like about track & field, at least when I'm participating in that event in gym, is the long jump.

The best event would be the volleyball. Same with the swimming. But the best would be the gymnists and how the do the break dance on that pole thingy.

Last night in Gymnastics USA got the silver. We got screwd on the blance beem. The judges deducted points because we had to use an alternate person for the balance beem.

hah ya... we got beat by romania!
Me and a friend were talking while there were on the uneven bars, and here was the convo (real life not aim or other bullshit)
Me: Man this is BULLSHIT, we're getting beat by romania! who the fuck are they?!?! we probably have more people in the olympics then they have in thier contry! Other guy: But gymnastics are thier specialty! They always do pretty good at it Me: Ya, and we [the US] specialize in WHOOPIN ASS! We're normally pretty good at it, but these judges are fucking us over!

soccer has been going on since the first day of the olympics.

Actually when they first started the Olympics, they only had one event. It was just a huge running race. I know the Olympics must have been boring back then.

I think Lincoln means that soccer has been going on since the first day of this year's Olympics, Scuba.

exactly TMaC ... The Iraqi's got first in it's division! crazy eh?!?!

That's not so crazy. They might just be good at sports and crap like that, but what do I know I'm not into sports that much except for football, and baseball.

Iraq was picked to get last in there division... They don't have a good history of doing well in............... anything lol

That is weird. lol Maybe they just got lucky or something. Maybe the good teams were not having good days. Or maybe they just did realy good. I think we will go get them next year either way.

Well I dont' think they really got lucky in any of their games... they plain WHOOPED portugal (picked to win the division), and they beat another team (dont even remember who), and they lost today. They were tied for best record, but had the most goals so they are in the lead. I just think people over looked them before the tournament because the majority of the players were undertraining here in the US

They probably did over look them. We think they will never win and we don't train as hard. They train a lot harder than us and they win sometimes. Maybe we will train harder next time because we will know what Iraq and other countries are capable of.
