I am going to Washington D.C. for the first time August 22nd (Sunday). I was wondering what there is to do there. Do you guys have any suggestions for cool things to see there and stuff like that?

Make sure to go to the Vietnam Wall Memorial and the Korean War Memorial. I was only 14 when I went, and I will never forget those 2 images. Very touching (nearly cried!), and I will hopefully get to go back the first chance I get.

That sounds good, Lincoln. Thanks for the advice. I put those two memorials on my list of things I want to see at Washington D.C.

O and dont go to the capitol building... the only thing REMOTLY halfway interesting there is a brick that Abraham Lincoln's chair sit on. We watched a session of congress, and it was the most boring thing I ever saw in my entire life...

I guess I will have to be bored that day. I couldn't convince my parents to skip seeing the capitol building in a million years. They did say that we can see those two memorials though.

TMaC you'll have to tell me about it when you get back because I'm going to D.C. in school next year.

Sure thing. I will try to remember to post about how it was when I get back. I don't think you will get to see everything I will at your school trip. I am going to be there for a week. But I will tell you all about the cool things there anyways.

I thought that was cool too. It is too bad our school is too cheap to do that, ZBomber. Public schools just have more money than private schools in general.

Yeah, like my school is public, and first of all, every public school gets funding form the government. And on top of that all the bullshit fees they throw in.
Like $70 for a parking pass. How sad is that shit? 70 DOLLARS MOTHER FUCKERS! TO PARK! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Oh yeah, uhm..riight, where were we? Hrm, oh ya, and all the lab fees, and 5 dollars a person for a sticker to say we are seniors! lmao
To go out to lunch every day we have to show these sad little stickers on our I.D.s to say we are allowed to leave..and it cost 5 dollars..OH WAIT...HALF OF US KNOW HOW TO USE FUCKING MS PAINT MOTHER FUCKERS! YOU LOSE!
Anyway, so yeah, public schools suck ass. My first field trip for my high school was a trip for a fucking local communitiy college for "Career Day" where you walk around with asshats from other schools and listen to losers who tell you about their job, as if anyone cares, we just wanted to get out of school for the day dumbass, shutup about being a detective and go find a dead body.
Ohh, this turned into a nice little rant, lol. Oh well, split it if you don't like it.
* Goes crazy *
Have fun in DC, take pictures, upload them. I would enjoy laughing at all the historical crap, I mean, I would enjoy seeing those wonderful things.

Ug DC sucks, I am right near there. Theres really not too much to see outside of what LL mentioned. Most of the things there are very boring. I suggest bring a CD player or a book if you like reading.
