Well, after being down for almost a month (with a few updays, and some down days due to a hacker), we are back up.
Now, I am attempting to root out the problem with the hacker. I personally think that an admins password is stolen, and somebody is using it to hack the boards. We have a backup so its not really a big deal. It is possible that somebody messed with permissions before I backed up - so theres an extra group w/ admin access.
I hope we will stay up, so start posting - hopefully the hacker will leave us.

Uh..thats all fine..but why not just make all the admins change thier passwords or even, change them yourself right now to a default pass and only tell them over AIM or something.
Glad its back, now I can finish my site.

The admin passwords were all changed to new ones, and it seems we survived the first night - im pretty happy about this.
I dont want people posting too crazy on here, mainly b/c we CAN get hacked again. This is going to be really hard to come back again... somewhat depressing.

I dont think it was really a real hacker, it could have been a disgrunted admin (HIGHLY doubt it), orr just one of the admins got their PW stolen...
All the pws have been changed, and theres no problem. I think I know who's computer has the trojan.

Well if you think it was mine, I highly doubt it... or I hope not, cause I just renewed my subsciptions with McAfee and Norton (yes both...). My password worked on the admin page the whole time the place was down... except today (I'm guessing after you changed them)

Its just too bad both Norton and Mcaffe can blow me. Get PC Cillin. And, none of those are for trojans anyhow, so get The Cleaner from www.moosoft.com (I'm surprised Microsoft hasn't tried to sue them over that name)...anyway, get the The Cleaner and run it, I bet you have a couple trojans that may not do much, but they are still there and norton knows shit about them.
Anti-Virus is okay for viruses.

They all fucking suck. I have used all three, and none of them will detect, or even repair allot of the trojans...
It could have been mine, my computer has a trojan in it - but I have a firewall so I wasnt worried. Its all groovy now, I will backup more frequently. =)
