If you have not seen the New Burger King commercials lately then you are missing out. Most of them start out with a guy in bed and a guy in this freaky giant king costume, complete with mask, in bed with him handing him a breakfast sandwich. You can get a glimpse of him at: www.bk.com This disturbs me on a number of levels. If I woke up, my first thought is "Who are you?", "Wheres my wallet?"and "How much did I drink?" on another level I would also wonder "Why are you feeding me?" and "Why are you a man?" Not "Hmmm crappy breakfast sandwich from creepy guy." On a bigger level is the fact that the costume looks like something you would see a serial killer wearing in some low budget film. I am half expecting the "King" to pull out a knife at any point and start hacking up the guy in the bed next to him with a title underneath like: "Burger King. Our meat is always fresh! Guaranteed!" Is anyone else disturbed by these commercials? |
