I belive 2004-2005. Its suppost to contain 100 processers of power... a bit too much in my opinion.

I'm not really excited at all about 3  I was so thrilled about 2 yet... I still haven't bought one

acuallty the ps3 was already being under construction since the ps2 came out im assuming its going to be due late 2005 or early 2006.

This is true. The PS3 was being made as the PS2 was being released . It should be coming out in late 2005, and it will bring the next generation of gaming to us .

of course... but still when it's release it's going to be priced around $300 i think... people WILL NOT pay anymore for a Platform! (well in this day in age)

hey sup tokin i dunno i hear that the price will stay around the 300-350 range i dont think 250 cause its gonna have the cell technology in it i duno if any of you have heard about htis new type of chip but i hear that it out performs the P4 chips 10x which is like WOW!!!!! yea but then thats just what ive heard so it could have changed but the chip is being made by toshiba IBM and sony so who knows that theyll come out with also i know for a fact cause i read it in a issue of that ps magazine sayin that the types of disc used will be called like ray discs or blue ray discs an they hold 21 gigs each side so i guess the price isnt bad for what it will be but who knows maybe the american will suck crap like all american edited games that come out yea well peace out all ...............gone

the bus rate of the memory in most computer is 800 - 1000 FSB (Front Side Bus) the ps3 will have 3200-4000 FSB. And like i said the processor will be the Cell Microchip which Sony Toshiba and IBM have teamed up to make. That is the real reason the PS3 will take so long is because they are not done the microchip yet.

all I know is that I will buy this system, I would have to (I liked the ps2 a lot, so if it is any thing like the change from ps to ps2 the new system is going to be great)

Well I'm definately going to wait a couple of months so see what kind of games this new system is reeling in... If they're good and the PS3 gets a nice selection then I'm definately buying it. Otherwise, I'll probably just stick to the PC.
