I bought this game yesterday, but the thing is when it's loading the game.... it just freezes up (not just the game, my whole computer) so I tried again with all my programs turned off, yet to no avail  I checked the CD and it's not scratched. Since I didn't know what to do next I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, but... again it froze me up. Anyone know what could be wrong?
*EDIT - Loading after the game has started and it's loading the level

hey i play that game too sometimes. You should get the desert combat mod for it cause it makes the game so much better. Did you get it all figured out and loaded?

My Suggestion: Dont get a bad game.
It seems that all the FPS games are soo damn buggy (Counterstrike to note). I dont think the companys put enough effort into making their engines....

I hated it the first time i played it too and that was before the patch. You did patch it right? And you should really go look at the desert combat mod because the guns are a little more accurate. My boyfriend and friend lan that game all the time and kick a ton of ass. I would even let my boyfriend play it for the longest time because he got so damn angry at it but then when he tried it again with the patch it was much better. Flying still does suck though.

I agree here. Although it is extremly hard to make a game engine, the companies should try and fix the probelms before the game comes out. Many games are based off the very buggy Unreal Engine, but hopefully when Doom 3 comes out more games will use it's engine.

I don't know about the buggy unreal engine cause my boyfriend has helped make 2 games from it and he said that its fairly stable, but games when they come out can be buggy because they are new and sometimes they don't find them. Battlefield 1942 is buggy though and because it is a first generation engine its a big piece of crap, while the unreal engine is in its third generation.

Wow, don't get me wrong here. The Unreal Engine is the best engine out right now. No doubt about it. You run UT2003 though, so you should know some of the engine problems it has. Other then the few problems it has it is a great engine compared to any of the other ones right now .
