The 22's have been hard to get. I bet your dealer has a client that wanted the 22's but could not get them. They can swap them on the spot with another new car. If not, post it on all the various GV80 forums and the GV80 facebook pages. You should be able to find someone with a new GV80 with 20's within driving distance that you could trade with. You can meet a a tire shop in between your locations and have them swap them thereHello, new to the group bought a cardif green GV80 January 1st and was looking to replace the 22's with 20" any suggestions on what wheels might look good?
Thanks in advance for the input.
Wouldn't the larger (or smaller) wheel/tire combo require a (speed)odometer modification? Would the dealer have to do that using some sort of scan tool in active mode? The 22's have been hard to get. Any particular reason for the changeout? I'm kind of agnostic as to wheel size but if there are any downsides to the larger wheels, I'd LOVE to save another, what, $1,500? If you use the recommended tire sizes for the 20 or 22"s, you will not need a speedo adjustment. The outside diameter of both are very closeWouldn't the larger (or smaller) wheel/tire combo require a (speed)odometer modification? I have 22's on my 2021 version. It is a tad noisy, purportedly more so than smaller sizes (although I have not ridden in a GV with 20's), but the taller stance is attractive. Depends on what your desire is. Get so many unsolicited compliments from strangers.Any particular reason for the changeout? Others have answered this, but to add to it, the 20" tires have a higher profile than the 22" tires and that makes up 22" wheels being larger than the 20" wheels.Wouldn't the larger (or smaller) wheel/tire combo require a (speed)odometer modification? the plan is to buy the same diameter tires so i shouldnt need any speedo adjustmentsWouldn't the larger (or smaller) wheel/tire combo require a (speed)odometer modification? Would the dealer have to do that using some sort of scan tool in active mode?
i have a couple of buddies tht have 20's on there's and it sure feels like a better rideAny particular reason for the changeout? I'm kind of agnostic as to wheel size but if there are any downsides to the larger wheels, I'd LOVE to save another, what, $1,500? Thanks in advance for any info.

Did you use same tires? I would suspect tires first.Last year, I bought a 20in like new set on Ebay to try on my Prestige. I was disappointed. The set was 95% new with no fault and come with OEM tire sensors. I even paid for the auto shop to road force balance before putting it on. For my experience, it seemed little softer but it created more rumble noise. The noise was too annoyed that, after swapping few times to compare with the Prestige set, I could not stand and resold it. The funny thing is that the guy who sold me and the guy who bought from me both have a Prestige model and wanted to try. So far, the sold-guy and I already regretted and resold the set with lost. I have not heard from the bought-guy since I have not contact him after selling.
Yes, the 20in set is OEM Michelin tires (8/32), like-new. In my opinion, replacing a 22in with a 20in set on the Prestige model will only make it worse. My wife also found the same problem when she drove the car. They are softer but add more hum/rumble noise. May be the RANC on the Prestige is designed for 22in wheels. I am not sure.Did you use same tires? I would suspect tires first.
Horse Hockey! My 20's are as quiet and smooth as can be!Yes, the 20in set is OEM Michelin tires (8/32), like-new. Much will depend on the size tire you're installing. The lower the aspect ratio the stiffer the sidewall and more NVRLast year, I bought a 20in like new set on Ebay to try on my Prestige.
