I wanted to throw a couple things on here to see if anyone else has noticed something similar. My GV80 (3.5t advance) has over 6k miles and for the most part, no issues with the exception of…
Issue 1. Gas tank is supposed to be over 21 gallons but the most I’ve been able to fill is a bit over 17. I haven’t ran it dry but did run it until the digital display showed 12 miles left till empty. I called the service department and they said the GV80 has nearly a 4 gallon reserve tank…4 gallons?!! What’s the point of marketing the larger tank for less fuel ups when your car starts sending you low fuel alerts so far from the tank actually being empty.
Issue 2: when on cruise with auto/assist steering enabled, turning on the signal for changing lanes causes the car to lunge forward. So much so it seemed to ignore the following distance setting. I regularly need to hit the brake so I can safely merge. This is my first experience with auto cruise, is it supposed to do this?

I have also felt Issue #2, but have deduced that it is because I use the automatic lane change feature. The car seems to notice that the new lane was free and would speed up to HDA speed setting... I changed the settings to make the acceleration/braking less aggressive in the HDA settings and that has helped. I have GV80 3.5 Prestige

@Orzel interesting…your fill up is much closer to the advertised 21.1 gallons. There has got to be something wrong with my tank, maybe accidentally fitted with the GV70 tank. I drove a few hundred miles last week, averaged 22.3 and on a full tank the display showed 394 miles to empty. I may need to run my GV80 dry and video record it to show proof to the service department that there isn’t a 4 gallon reserve. Thanks for sharing!

One thing to think about here... you said that you are getting 18.8 mpg average that times 21 gallons gives you a max range of 394. So maybe it does use your overall average mpg to determine how many miles based on a 21 gal fuel tank.

Good point. That thought would be enough for me if I were able to get more than 17 gallons into the tank.

@JustJA Wanted to let you know that I did a fill-up today. I waited until I had the blinking E light on the gas gauge and the miles to empty was 0 (for a bit). I was able to put in 19.2 gallons (this was for 265 miles last tank) proving my awful gas mileage  at least I am only driving about 350/month, but it still hurts to put in $93 of gas EVER ;-)

Im so confused on my Gas tank when I fill up..I can fill it till can't take no more and will show 310 to 340 till empty. One would think if 21 gallon tank would show more to empty. Seems to average 21-22 mpg. Dont let it go below a ¼ tank.. Confusing

There is likely at least a 3-gal reserve as that seems to be standard across many auto manufacturers.
I venture to say there is about a zero percent chance that your tank is from a different model car.

DId you ever figure out the gas tank capacity? I love my GV80 3.5T Advanced - only thing is that the tank is smaller than I'd like. My fill ups are around 16 gallons? When I do fill up it gives me a range of 310 miles???

Mine is typically showing about 400 to 410 range upon fill up.
