Howdy all,
I just put a deposit on a 2023 GV80 2.5T Prestige and I am wondering if there's anything you wish you had known earlier or any accessories you just can't live without for your GV80? Figured I would skip the intro forum since I really don't have any pics or much else to say since it's still in transit and supposed to arrive around the end of this month. I've been considering getting WeatherTech mats for it, but thought I would ask about those too and how they compare to the Genesis ones.

I have never purchased weathertech mats. I take a different approach. I will enjoy the ones that came with the car with the car logo and great fit. And then, if they get ruined or they don't look good, I will then buy the mats to cover up the blemished. I want to enjoy the nice new car finishes instead of the 2nd owner.
I got a little tray from Amazon that goes inside the center counsel. It makes it easier to organize and find stuff. Do a search on Amazon and you will find several.
I don't like tinting as it makes it hard to see out of the side window at night. But it might be right for you. I find came with the car is sufficient for me.
Look into some kind of coating especially if your car will be parked outside like mine. I have not gotten any yet, I am waiting for a friend to do one of those self install coatings to see how it comes out. I have the time to do it and the largest portion of the cost is the labor.

There are threads here and on other GV80 sites that recommend different aftermarket items.
Enjoy the car, I certainly enjoy mine.

You'll love your new GV80.
Take the time to go through the many YouTube videos--far better than the books that will come with the car.
The tech is a learning curve--don't rush it.
Only aftermarket accessory you'll really need is a wireless dongle for your iPhone or Android phone. With all the tech, the Genesis is wired phone only. Sad but true.

Good to know! My Jaguar supports wireless Android Auto/Apple Carplay so I have not researched dongles at all. Do you have any recommendations?

I bought dongle wire that works great. About $20. from Apple. It works great. There are some wireless ones that cost around a $100. You can hook up the dongle wire put the phone in charger and close cover. I love it.

I have an android.
There are two for under 100 bucks.
AAWireless

Motorola MA1

Initially, my AAWireless did not work in my Genesis when I moved it from my last car, but with a few updates, and tweaking the settings, I works now. Another user on another forum still has issues with his.
I do not have a Motorola MA1, but the user I mentioned above said this one works with his GV80.

Good luck.

I second the comment on the YouTube videos. The manuals need a lot of work. It is also good advice on taking your time to understand the tech. Too many people become frustrated and think the features do not work. They function correctly and will enhance your enjoyment and safety. You just need to understand the logic.
You will love the car.
