I thought U-Haul would install a hitch on any vehicle.

@burgertime Curt and Stealth Hitches are a couple brands that make them for the Hyundai Palisade. I doubt we'll see a version for the GV70 from them in time for your trip. U-Haul is another good option or anywhere that sells universal hitches.

Thanks for the replies. Dealer was not helpful, but I may call Genesis USA and see if the GV80 hitch will work on both (I doubt it, after crawling underneath, it looks like the bolt holes are on the outside of the frame, where the install instructions for the GV80 show the mounts to be perpendicular to the frame, along a crossmember. I am going to call U-Haul tomorrow and I have sent an email to Curt. I expect that we will see someone offering one soon. Another note is that GV80 wiring is currently on backorder, so probably no hope for GV70 Genesis wiring anytime soon.

This is getting ridiculous. I have talked to 3 dealers, Genesis Customer Care, Genesis Concierge and a local after-market installer. No one has any information, no specs, no eta, no part numbers, nothing. If you need to tow, now is NOT the time to purchase this vehicle.

Though it's not listed, the hitch for the GV70 will be available in August as per inside information.

This is getting ridiculous. I have talked to 3 dealers, Genesis Customer Care, Genesis Concierge and a local after-market installer. No one has any information, no specs, no eta, no part numbers, nothing. If you need to tow, now is NOT the time to purchase this vehicle.

Any decent metal fab shop can make you one. You can buy the actual hitch part/tube and save some time/money and they can cut and weld some brackets. If no one has some soon if enough people are interested I can have my fab guy make some. Would take him all of a few hours to have a stack of them (he fabs massive parts for all these side by side companies that have aftermarket bumpers, makes lots of parts for nissan, etc.)

I am already out of the window of getting this done for my immediate need. With the information that there will be general availability in August (thanks, @CSmooth), I am going to wait for those. I did get an email response from Genesis support this weekend, sharing that they are asking another group. I will post their update when I receive it.

Just an update. Nothing available online yet. Genesis did not respond, after my conversation with them. They told me that they would look into it internally and let me know. Another poor interaction with Genesis USA.

There's an OEM hitch through Genesis that only popped up early this month in Canada. It should be available in the US hopefully too

Received a response to my 7/7/2021 case opened with Genesis Customer Care (2 months!). It looks like October for the US:

Thank you for contacting Genesis Customer Care. We have forwarded your case to the appropriate personnel for additional research concerning tow hitch for the GV70.

We have found that the GV80 and the GV70 Hitch's are not interchangeable. The GV70 hitch will be available to purchase at the local genesis dealerships in October 2021.

Links do not work, also I checked with my genesis dealer and he said he couldn't get that number to work.
Still hoping for the hitch in the near future.

I would be interested to see the model and detailed specs ~USD$1,590 is a lot to carry the ebike around.

I need a bike rack... I tried a few universal ones that are designed to hang on trunk. Either can't get the hooks to slide between groves at the top or there is nothing to latch on bottom of trunk door. Plus the worry of messing up the paint or denting the trunk with the weight of carrying multiple bikes.

Really wanting a 2" hitch for easy loading and piece of mind. The gooseneck style seems limited to what you can attach.

Called curt and uhaul, nothing available as of yet.

Would be willing to order from Canada, but can't find where or how to order it.

I am in Queensland Australia. I will be picking up my GV70 diesel lux spec on 11th December 2021. It has the factory tow pack. I asked for it as an option. No issue. Genesis Australia have access to the parts required.

I would have liked to have mine fitted when purchased my 3.5li Sport-Luxury a few months ago, but that was not an option then. I recently was quoted AUD$2,205 by Genesis Australia to have one (750km without braked trailer) fitted.
Do you recall the price you paid for it as an option?
Please post brand and model when you do get may help others to assess their options - including a starting point for lighter duty such as carrying bikes, rather than towing.

In the USA, the dealer websites are showing a hitch option. Assuming it's a dealer installed thing
