How does the cover for the battery, located in the rear, come off? Not ready for a new battery, but some day.

Also, what does anyone know about the genuine supplemental battery required for using the built in camera for the parking recording option?

It's a crazy weird battery compartment in the rear deck. However, parking recording option does not exist in North American vehicles, so whatever supplemental battery you are referring to leads me to believe that you are not in the USA as your profile indicates.

According to the GV80 Owner's manual you should be able to lift off the cover. Unless you have the 7-seater then 2 clips have to come off.

Also,

Here's the steps for changing a battery from a Genesis dealer website.

How to replace your battery:
  1. Make sure your engine is off - refer to your vehicle manual to locate the battery.
  2. Use a wrench to loosen the bolt that holds the black negative battery cable.
  3. Carefully remove the cable by twisting and pulling - do not use too much force or any metal objects to pry the cable away from the battery. This can damage the cable.
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to remove the positive (red) battery cable.
  5. Locate the clamp that holds the battery in place and remove it with a wrench or ratchet.
  6. At this point, you should be able to easily remove the battery. Careful, it will be heavy.
  7. It is recommended that you clean the battery tray and any corrosion on the cables using a wire brush and proper battery cleaning solution.
  8. To install the new battery simply repeat the steps above.
