You can easily have a car shipped from out of state. Wait a month or two. The GV60 no longer qualifies for a tax credit and they will be sitting in dealer lots.
Yeah, that's actually what I've been telling my mom (the car is for her). They offered her a Performance model with a 7K markup. I told her to wait and there will be non-performance at MSRP soon since the tax credit went away. Fortunately, she's not in a hurry. I don't want to ship one from too far away, though, since it will probably cost extra. But I suspect she'll be able to get a hold of one at MSRP in California one of these days.

I know Santa rosa and palm springs dealerships do MSRP, but a lo-ng waiting list. I checked them frequently last 3 months, but no call back for my turn. For the global chip supply issue and seasonal strikes in Hyundai factory, the allocation does not take place often.
My real problem is that I am impatient. I had to dance with dealers. The best I reached was MSRP+$500 this week from the worst, $7K markup+500 hidden addon (ambush which appears at the last round w/ a financial guy). I took the deal because MSRP+$500 at local dealer was better over shipping or long drive self delivery anyway. No tax credit slows a demand for sure yet they don't do MSRP because there still are buyer(s) or at least tons of inquiries.
