Definitely in Cardiff Green, its no wonder Genesis has been showing off this color quite a lot.
Are you also getting a similar spec GV80?

I just picked up my Cardiff Green 3.5 Prestige on Monday. Taupe interior ax I always like the lighter interior.
Love it so far, with the exception of the slippery black all weather mats. Why don’t they make Taupe or even brown cloth mats?

Thanks, but they only come in gray, which would look weird with the taupe interior.
As for other cars, I did consider the GLE350, but dealer was snobby and unwilling to negotiate. Checked out the RR Velar. Love the looks, hated the ride and cheap interior. Also tested the XC90 Inscription. Really like it, but wanted to be the first kid on the block with a GV80. Happy with my decision so far.

Oh, and I actually got a 2020 Explorer Platinum last summer. Really liked and had lots of tech. But also had design flaws they couldn’t fix, so Ford re-acquired it from me and gave me back every dime.

The Chicago plant where the Explorer and Aviator are produced has a lot of issues, most probably related to the work force. When they started producing the Aviator last year, they had so many problems they shipped 400 or so over to the Flat Rock Michigan plant to be repaired. A friend of mine has one and complains about it constantly. On the other hand, I hear nothing but good things about the Navigator, but it's built somewhere else.

glad to hear you're happy with your GV80 so far. What issues did you have with the Explorer?

The Explorer had design flaws that couldn’t be remedied, and they knew about them. The sun roof rattled at highway speeds when closed. Sounded like it was going to rip open. The infotainment system just didn’t work periodically. And, if you had the passenger window down, there was an annoying whistling they couldn’t fix. So after being in the shop four times in two months, they offered to buy it back. Gave me my full down payment plus all payments made.
What’s bad is that the general manager said that is common for them to do. Tell your buddy to contact Ford corporate if he has issues.

Wow, the nerve of the GM to say that. Well here's hoping all goes well with the GV80.

Update. Just received my carpeted floor mats in the mail today. I had reached out to the dealer saying that I didn’t really like the all weather mats, and the window sticker says ‘carpeted’.
Well, apparently they do come in other colors now because they match my interior and there was a letter from Genesis apologizing for making me wait for the matching mats. Good service.

Got mine mailed to me yesterday, except in blue. Also, just got an email saying a cargo tray is on the way.
