My 2021 GV80 stopped "coasting" about 3 months ago after working properly for this first 15 months of ownership. I had my worthless Genesis service department look into it and they said that it was working properly which tells me that they don't know the vehicle. When it is working, the MPG status bar on the dash would display "Coasting" when you took your foot off of the gas pedal (normally coasting down a hill). It no longer does this. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? Genesis tech support just refered me back to the dealership. Thanks...

I have a 2021 GV80 3.5 Prestige as well and I see coasting as well on my display, but I have found that its very finicky... if the incline isn't just right it will not coast. Too steep it uses engine to brake and not steep enough it wont turn on.
There are a few stretches of road by my house where my GV80 would always coast (confirmed on the dashboard) and now it won't "coast" at all. Something has changed with the vehicle and no one can explain why. I will update this thread if/when I get it diagnosed.

I did a long trip on Sunday over costal mountains in CA, on many occasions going down some of the declines of the hills, I would see "coasting" in the cluster, this time I did not see it, nor did I feel like the engine went into coast mode. I checked settings and coasting was still enabled, so not sure what is going on. I can pretty much guess the response if I take it to the service center ("no issue, its working as designed"), but will mention when I bring in for 16k service
That is the exact same situation that I am experiencing. I have another service appointment 2/2 and I am determined to get to the bottom of this issue and will post my findings. Good luck!...
