Connect Insurance does NOT cover windshield, it's part of the "Comprehensive" deductible. So I changed the Comprehensive Ded to $0, it increased my 6mon premium by just a few bucks, but it's worth it.

In the old days where cars had no cameras or sensors for these advanced collision warning, which I think is absolutely needed nowadays. You can replace any front windshield with aftermarket for $200 to $300 plus labor....

My 2019 RDX windshield replacement was $1500, I had a $500 Ded! Since then I changed to $0 Ded for Comprehensive, this time it saved me, otherwise it's another $500. Each time seemingly I got hit soon after I got the car, for the RDX it was in the first week.

Here in So Cal, everyone drives like they are going to f ing die, and a lots of lane widening going out, so a lots of debris.

I own a Santa Fe Sport Ultimate that has a similar windshield. My damaged windshield was replaced and covered 100% and aligned by USAA automobile insurance. USAA informed me that damaged windshields would be replaced without having to use deductibles. I assume that it all boils down to the companies and their policies.
