I am very interested in the upcoming eGV70. It appears that the eGV60 is now in production and should be available in 2022. I would appreciate any posts, information, etc re: the eGV70 and when we might expect it here in North America, Canada in particular. I prefer the more traditional look and the size of the 70, versus the 60.

Where did you get the idea that there is an upcoming eGV70?
A couple of places: if you do a Google search you will find articles related to this upcoming model. Also on Youtube. There is a 13:14 minute video comparing/contrasting the GV60 vs the e-GV70.

I hadn't heard of it, so when I saw this thread I googled it (technically duck-duck-goed it). Lots of hits some for gas GV70, but this was first result, don't know how accurate: https://topelectricsuv.com/news/genesis/genesis-egv70-electric-suv-details/
Yes, that is the main Google article I came across. My local dealer says that Genesis will eventually offer all of their vehicles with a battery powertrain. He estimated 2023 for the eGV70 but I think he was just guessing. The article you referenced indicates possibly 2022.

I'm waiting for the same thing. Originally it was supposed to be unveiled this November, but it's possible that could be delayed to early 2022. The gas powertrains are the same as on the GV80, but the electric hardware would be lifted from the Electrified G80 (365hp, +500lb/ft of torque, 265 miles or 425km autonomy, 400/800V architecture supporting up to 350kw/h charging from 10-80% of battery in 18 minutes). The 0-60mph (0-100km/h) sprint should also be done in ~4 seconds.

It would support recharging another vehicle (V2L) and potentially powering up some of your home's essentials (Fridge and so on) for a while in case of a power failure, though I don't know if they pushed that aspect as far as on say the electric F-150. Also, I do not know if the eGV70 will come with support for wireless charging like the GV60 (Where you just park over a floor plate to recharge), hopefully they will, or at least offer it as an option.

There's pictures out there of it testing, it has a closed front grille like the Electrified G80 where the right quarter of it opens to reveal the charging port. It looks like it has different wheels which I'm not crazy about but would probably keep for winter tires and get a good-looking set for the summers. The bottom part of the bumper looks different, but the interior should be the same with minor differences in the instrument cluster. No clue how similar or different the color palette will be.

Pricing-wise it should be on the level of V-6 models or higher.

You can guess I'm interested enough to conclude I'm looking at my next car right there...! 😉

I too am considering the eGV70 to be my next vehicle. My next vehicle will definitely be a BEV. I have already tested but decided against the Mustang Mache. I found the ride to choppy (bouncy). I wasn't impressed with the dash and my wife didn't think the stereo was very good. I have test drove the regular GV70 and was very impressed. Also, in our area, Teslas are just to common. Sometimes you will see 2 stopped at an intersection. At a nearby mall, Tesla has a bank of 24 superchargers. I want something a bit less commonplace.
I see you are also from Canada. What city or province? I am in Surrey, BC.

I'm from Laval, QC (That's an island just north of Montreal), here too Teslas are very common (The Model 3 is the best seller, but I can't say I'm interested in their shabby build quality or aquarium-looking SUV's).

BEV's make perfect sense here, where the grid is powered by clean electricity. I know both our respective provinces lead the charge in this country with regards to electric vehicles sales, kudos to that! 👍

Just found this thread and would like to keep an eye on it as I’m too interested in the eGV70 as it looks like a regular car and have the build quality which Hyundai/Genesis is good at compare to Tesla. Currently driving a PHEV but would ultimately want to have a decent BEV. Also in Canada here, from Toronto so Teslas are everywhere!
