Hi,

just got my GV70 2.5 Select a few days ago. Great car! however, there seems to be no “favorite contacts” icon on the phone page. I contacted the genesis customer service and they say that, according to the manual, there should be an icon with “a man and a star”, but there’s nothing of the sort. I use CarPlay, but not having the favorite contacts listed is slightly annoying! Please help!

If you designate 'Favorites' on your phone, they will be duplicated on CarPlay.
No, it doesn’t look this way! the screen only shows past calls with no option to designate “favorite”. Supposedly, there was some software upgrade a few months ago and the “favorite contacts” icon just disappeared. Hence, I was wondering if anyone was able to find a way around it.

Every other vehicle I have ever owned in the last 20 years lets you store favorites in the Nav, then use voice commands to set a destination. To my utter disappointment, there are only TWO voice-addressable saved NAV addresses; Home and Work. That's it. Yes, I know I can use my phone and bypass the multi-thousand dollar nav and communications platform, but I didn't expect such a lack of what I would call a common and important feature. I do like my GV but when this lease is up, I will be leaving the Genesis family behind. The car performance is excellent but the electronics are like Windows Vista. Flaky, unpredictable and unreliable.
