I have been receiving notifications starting at 2500 miles and it goes on and on and on!!!!!!!Can GV80 owners let me know at what mileage you received your first change oil notification? Thanks.
Update. I did make an appointment to bring my GV80 in for oil change and maintenance. And, scheduled a full day loaner.I just got the exact same experience. Asked if I could come in and just take a loaner for a couple hours while they did the service. They said loaners are for full day only and that’s the rules.
Now I have to go in and just sit there I guess.
Not exactly the great service they brag about.
Same here. 5000 miles was also recommended. I went ahead and set the maintenance schedule on the GV80 to that number.5000 miles was recommended by my dealer
I didn't get a warm feeling from the dealership I got my GV80 from when it came to my first oil and filter change which I am doing at 5000 mi. The valet thing is a pain in the a$$ and takes up way to much time IMO. Plus I never did and likely never will have much faith in the dealership's choice of "mechanics" they put on things like oil changes. I'm very fortunate to have a full shop with a lift for all the vehicles I own so doing my own service is actually enjoyable time for me. The GV80 V6's oil filter is accessible from the top after you remove a couple of air lines. It drains down when the engine is off so there is minimal mess. They made the oil pan drain plug simple to access and put the oif filter in a really tough place to get to. I found that the dealerships technicians are not yet familiar with the under hood details of the GV80 and I prefer if I can't be there with them (and they won't let you near them) to do it myself. These cars are modern day technical nightmares so I may be sending this one down the road before it hits it's midway value marker. It's to bad but I've seen first hand how bad dealerships can be at taking advantage of people who through no fault of their own just aren't savvy in the mechanical aspect of life and get royally screwed by dealerships. There are to few honest people out there any longer in the world of automobile repair and maintenance.Anybody actually take advantage of the Valet program where they pick up your car at home for service?
They make a big deal about that perk, but won’t travel more than 10 miles to do it.
All dealers near me are further.
