Having a simple, stupid, and dangerous problem with the driver's side mat on 2023 GV70. The mat is about 1-2" too short in front of the pedals. So when I take my foot off the gas pedal, it catches the edge of the floor mat and flips it over the brake. Not good. My solution has been to duct tape mat near the gas pedal. Annoying. Anyone else have that problem?

I have noticed it as well. I have the all weather mats and the lip on the mat is very pronounced. I can never find a comfortable place to rest my heel when pressing the gas. I live in New England so sand and salt from my shoe collects around the pedal because the mat is too short.

No, never had the problem on my 2023 GV70 3.5T Prestige, 1800miles

2023 3.5 Prestige here also. WeatherTech mats. No problem.

Nope. 2023 3.5 Sport Prestige. I'm using WeatherTech mats and have not had an issue.

The WeatherTech mats also stop short, but this has never bothered me. Probably because of my large feet?

I agreed with your solution. On mine, I kept the original mat underneath and place over the Weather Tech or Husky mats.

No, but right after I got mine I had the dealership throw in their all weather mats (trunk, too). Has the Genesis logo. Never had an issue

So it looks like the solution is to get WeatherTech or factory winter mats to solve the problem. That's a terrible solution for a luxury car. I am in New England and look forward every year to pulling the winter mats out in the spring and putting in the cloth mats. At the moment I have duct tape holdng the mat secure around the pedal area. Terrible and ugly solution! Genesis should resize the mats for a safer fit.
