Thanks, doors are unlocked.
They say there is a bug where you have to relook and unlock, but, that did not resolve. Stumped the techs at Hyundai and I swear this has to be a fuse or solenoid (unlocking doors ‘should’retrack the locking solenoid)
Nobody could find the emergency release in the cargo bay….it’s usually a yellow handle.

My year-old GV80 just started this issue. After locking the vehicle with the door button, each time I unlock the same way the fuel filler door will not unlock with the doors. I have to use the key fob and hit "unlock" twice to release the fuel filler door.
Have you resolved your issue? Please respond.

just a thought do your rear doors unlock when you touch the door handle or just the drivers? i know in the settings you can choose 1 door or all doors .if set to 1 door mabey thats why the fuel door stays locked some update could have changed that.
I have the "all" doors unlock setting. Today I did not lock the doors and the fuel door was locked when I checked. All this is happening since the latest Nov 21 software install.
Contacted Genesis Customer Care but they were not able to provide any solution or provide any emergency access to the fuel door.
Thanks for your suggestion.

Still having trouble opening the fuel filler door! All doors are unlocked but the fuel filler door remains locked. Tried the key fob, which worked in the past, but does not work now. Last fuel fill I had to start the engine several times before the door would release from the lock.
I called Genesis but they had no idea, said they would look into it but never heard back from them.
Appears to become more erratic every day. I have to start thinking about refilling when the dial shows half full.

My Genesis dealership replaced the Fuel Door Actuator and it fixed the problem. Took about an hour and was covered under warranty for me.

Thanks, that's the first solution I have received. I will work with the dealer immediately!
Did the dealer resolve the issue? Did they have to order parts? I've had problem opening mine for about 1 month. Double clicking unlock works "sometimes" but not always. Currently waiting for my service appointment.

Experienced the same issue for the first time last week. (GV70). Have had the car for over a year, and someone on my post said they had to take it to the dealership as well. I am setting up an appt as we speak. Good luck! Thinking about having to fill up on half a tank because you're unsure of when the problem will arise again is definitely annoying.

See WAY too much of this. "I called Genesis but they had no idea, said they would look into it but never heard back from them."
The Koreans have a well deserved reputation for not giving a rats *** about warranties and claims in their electronics and appliances.
You get an amazing phone runaround trying to get warranty service on any Samsung, LG, or any of the other myriad of Korean manufacturers.
Genesis is a joke.

The best warranty is the one you never need to use because the product just works😊

I am not sure who you called, local or corp. but I have owned various Hyundai products since I got myf irstt 2002 Sonata back in 2002. I did not have a lot of issues with any of them, but when I brought it in for a claim like the armrest lid latch broke and a seat belt would not retract well, they never gave me a problem. My son bought a used elantra and when the car overheated I took to to the dealer and they fixed it. They told me it was the thermostat. I went to pay and they said that it was covered under the warranty.. Hemm, a used car not purchased from them. I was happy. I should have told my son he owes me 200 bucks and pocketed the money🙄
But if I was having issues with the warrantee on a car I just purchased, especially a luxury car. I would be pissed as well. Good Luck with the issue. I put a screw driver in my car in case I have to pry it open. I want to look where the latch is to see exactly the best way to do it.

Just HOW are you going to open the car to get the screwdriver? :D
In actuality, there is a 'key' inside the fob that fits in the hole when you pull the handle outward.
