Genesis GV80 Interior Thread

Really liking the looks of the 22' curved OLED display and that seems to be the direction the brand is moving in as a whole. Pretty similar to what we saw in the Essentia concept as well. I really don't know think it will share much in common with the S-Class, but we could look to the GLS for some possible similarties.

We'll probably see large screens connected to look like one piece, functioning as the gauge cluster and infotainment screen. But under it is a large swathe of space that looks very empty compared to the Mercedes, but they can't exactly put air vents in the same area of they'll look like they're copying the other company. Maybe put the Genesis analogue clock there.

It would be cool if they can make use of Google Glass type technology because that can go a long way in complementing a high-tech luxury car experience.

Well I'm sure alike most of the vehicles in this segment that we'll see a proper heads up display, and hopefully we have some control over what information is provided on it. It does look like from concept pictures that there are also physical buttons on the dash to control the infotainment system.

Speech and gestures should become a big part of the experience especially now when its already building up momentum on hand held smart devices. However, in the end they will need to offer us a range of different controls, all have their strengths and weaknesses.

Amazing options. I hope that over the years we get most of the options that the South Korean market does.
