18 mpg city, 26 mpg highway and 20 combined is what the GV80's fuel economy is expected to be on average.

The EPA hasn't provided official numbers of the 2.5-liter and 3.5-liter engine options but as those numbers come out, 22 MPG combined or better would be ideal on the 2.5t model. This would make the GV80 an even better bargain, already its the best mid-size SUV in terms of value. Also, both versions get a gas tank size of 80L, its about average for the segment and more than enough for most owners. Here's what the GV80 is up against:

Most Fuel-Efficient Luxury SUVs
  • Audi Q5: 22 mpg city / 27 mpg highway
  • Audi Q7: 19 mpg city / 26 mpg highway
  • BMW X5: 20 mpg city / 26 mpg highway
  • Acura RDX: 22 mpg city / 28 mpg highway
  • Lincoln Aviator: 20 mpg city / 24 mpg highway
  • Volvo XC90: 19 mpg city / 25 mpg highway
  • Volvo XC60: 22 mpg city / 27 mpg highway
  • Lexus RX 350: 20 mpg city / 27 mpg highway
