My mercedes, amber in front, red in rear. Porsche the same. I think it should be red. Might be law in the US.
So we agree it’s Red rear turn signals and not amber per the rest of the world and every review/clip we have seen thus far apart from the one in this thread. Every Genesis since inception has amber rear turn signals. My 17 G80 has amber led turn signals. Mercs /bmws etc are amber everywhere except US. Quite ridiculous. It’s cheaper to go red and less safe. It’s certainly doesn’t have that luxury look. I agree with the reviewer; it should be amber! Going red is so cheap and North American 80s.
Please tell me you were all aware they were red.Certainly looks like you all thought they were amber and you have been following this car on your forum for almost a yr!!!
You didn’t watch the full review on this very thread in your own forum! Quite odd indeed.
Still shocked that you fellas didn’t notice and assumed they were amber even with the posted review!
Maybe you don’t care.

That’s what I thought. Not surprised with your reply.
FYI many many reports out there say the opposite.

Amber would have tied in nicely with the overall design, not to mention safer and current. You stated you drive a Mercedes; my condolences. I hope it’s a lease. Everyone and their mother knows that brand is a money pit, depreciation, repair and maintenance costs are horrendous.
Dirt cheap to purchase after 2 yrs! Great money pit used car!
Leasing is the way to go with a Mercedes, even though it’s in the shop more than it’s on the road, at least costs are covered and you can give the horrible machine back after your rental is up! You get a fancy rental to show your neighbors at least.
I’m been through it, so please not be offended. Mercs are absolute garbage. Audi though is worse. I had an A8. Awful. Glad when that lease was up. Worse than my Merc and believe me that took a lot of doing .

My G80 has been bulletproof! Love it.

GV80 with red rear turn signals. Step backwards. Just like your Merc.

Did he tell you about the crappy seat massage function?
Did he tell you about the tiny glove box?
Did he tell you that you have to pay about 80 grand and not the advertised 48k and have to hunt and wait forever to get the car?
Did he tell you about the dumbest designed trunk cargo system ever? They give you a can of fix a flat where the spare tire was supposed to be with an impossibly stupid cargo area with impossible accessibility where you cannot fit anything practical.
Did he tell you that the mouse wheel function is absolutely impossible to use and that there is no practical functional way to use the handwriting gesture globe crystal ball thingy?
Did he tell you about the lack of cup holders?
Did he tell you that the rear middle seat is useless if you are human shaped?
Did.he tell you that even though the seats are really beautiful, that they are not that comfortable? The airbags inside the seats are in uncomfortably weird places.
There are pros and cons to every vehicle and although I am happy with my car I would have been equally happy with several other choices. Don't succumb to the hype, weigh your options, mdx, gle, x5, cx90, etc. Your happiness is first

Woah, you don’t sound happy with your purchase. I think I may cancel my order.

Puts the red rear turn signals in perspective! Lol
I have done a lot of research on this vehicle and I agree the hype is way off the charts. Delusions of grandeur at its highest!! It’s pretty and people are getting carried away. I for one will not spend $70-$80k on a Genesis!

So why are you on this gv forum? I would spend it because the fully loaded prestige is 72,000.

Excuse me! As far as I know it was a free country, I currently own a G80 and was looking at purchasing a GV80. I still think in the US it’s ok to change your opinion.
The GV80 has issues, we all see it, we all know it. It’s Pretty but just being pretty doesn’t cut it.
I agree with the new owner of a GV80 who knows more than the both of us; there are other options. He still loves his car .Shop around. If it’s the GV80 you want then by all means buy it.
IMO I think it’s way overpriced for a Genesis ,I’m talking the top of the range model, the one most people will want. The base model as well lacks power , many features and those tiny hideous wheels and for $50k min is far from inexpensive! I am looking elsewhere now.
$70-$80k I can spend but NOT on a Genesis . Sorry.
The hype has really gone to everyone’s head.
$72k for a Genesis is now normal! That’s your price point?
