I bought my GV60 from Genesis Santa Monica and have had a pretty bad experience where they forced me to take add ons for over $2k, but it turns out they didn't even do the stuff they charged me for. I've reached out to them to make it right, but they have not responded. I'm hiring an attorney to go after them for fraud. Anybody else have similar issues with Genesis Santa Monica?

They have terrible reviews on Yelp and on Google. I would contact those people and use their experiences in your case. I returned my lease there and would not buy/lease a car from them. These guys give car dealers a bad name.

I have had an even worse experience at Genesis of Las Vegas. 4K of extra charges which they wouldn't detail out for me plus an additional Premium. I should have just walked out. I have submitted a complaint to Corporate. They seemed supportive when I shared the nightmare experience (way beyond the monetary issues) but now I have heard NOTHING back from them. I am not sure anyone really cares. I love my car, but I think about selling it just to be done with this terrible company. Of course I cannot sell unless I want to be out a ton of cash. I am pretty much screwed.

I didn't talk to anybody at Genesis corporate, but I got on LinkedIn and messaged a bunch of executives involved with the dealership. I got a message back from the GM of Genesis Santa Monica and was told they are processing a refund. I'm cautiously hopeful....

Yeah...exactly. I wanted the Silver one...it was the only one, and nothing was showing in transit. I looked for weeks after I purchased, still no Silver. If all you paid was $4K over (for some overpriced after market items) you did good. Like I said, I even paid a premium on top for literally nothing except being treated terribly. Incredibly disheartening.

Hopefully you get some money back, that would be awesome! I was charged on the "Desert package" for Wheel Locks among many other items (still don't really know what)...Wheel locks were also listed on the Window Sticker, so I was double charged. I said something about it to the sales guys and he got super angry at me...it was nuts! Each dealership is doing what they want, making false claims, charging whatever because they know people will buy the car anyway. I really wish I hadn't out of principle.

At a charging station, I ran into a young executive from Hyundai, the Fountain Valley Headquarters, he wanted to talk about how the Genesis team is being driven to establish the brand. Obviously the dealers have not received the memo. My suggestion is to focus this anger onto The Headquarters staff. Not readily accessible from the internet. Maybe snail mail: Genesis Brand Management, 10550-Talbert-Ave-Fountain-Valley-CA-. While you are at it give them you impression of Electrify America's reliability.
