What does everyone think about the GV80 in Gold Coast Silver?

That's the color I ordered. I like it a lot. To me it's not a pure Silver, I see a hue of Beige in it. To me it makes the color a little different. It looks good on the GV80.

I've seen a few photos in direct sunlight and I pick up the hue of beige. If you put a pure silver car next to the Gold Coast Silver you would see the difference.

That's exactly how I ordered it. Gold Coast Silver, Premium Package with the black beige interior along with the 3.5 Liter AWD drivetrain. The only difference that I can see is the chrome strip on the front just above the grill and forward of the hood where the Genesis wings are, looks beautiful. That would be nice if it would be available on the US versions but I didn't see any option like that when I ordered it.

Hello I just found this forum ... I also ordered the gold coast prestige with BLACK/Beige interior. the phots here are showing the beige/ brown and dune/ marine. Which weren't options in US. I am hoping the BEIGE /Black has the light grey wood and NOT the darker wood. Any one know for sure . Oddly I have seen both wood colors in multiple pictures on the beige/black on non us versions. If ordered off the site it shows DARK wood on the beige/brown and light wood on the black/ beige interior.

I heard my Vin is on the water(last week) and should be here before thanksgiving. I am in indy...

Good question about the wood color. I'm expecting the lighter color wood with the light beige seats. That seems to make sense to me.

Great news that yours is on the water, I haven't heard that about mine yet. I ordered mine in August. What state do you live in? It seems like the GV80's are hitting the West Coast first.

Welcome to the forum @Steve h! I think the configurator should be accurate and you get the light wood. Otherwise you can go to Genesis and say wtf. I'm surprised there aren't a lot of photos of that interior combo. You'd think it would be a popular option.

That's identical to what I ordered. I always assumed it would have the lighter color wood. Other GV80's that are going to the dealership that I ordered mine from in South Brunswick NJ but no VIN number for mine yet. The salesperson said they don't receive VIN numbers until they're already on the water and not from the start of production.

Has your dealer said when you should expect to get your GV80?

Genesis of South Brunswick NJ said the end of November but that's not making sense based on the fact that a transport ship takes approximately 30 days to arrive to the US from South Korea. It's 11/13 with no VIN number which means mine isn't even on a transport ship yet. Long story short I'm not buying into the story that I'll have my GV80 by late November. My gut feeling is in late November they'll tell me it's coming late December. They'll just keep pushing back the delivery date until they receive a VIN number.

Nope. In the end, this Genesis GV80 not for us! Expectations were different...a bit too cramped for our needs. There will always be those who love this SUV and those who are in the 'not so much' category. We're in the 'not so much'. We've moved on and completed purchase of a competing SUV in this same segment. Enjoy to all who have already purchased or are soon to purchase GV80. In the end, if happy with personal choice, that is what matters.

What brand and model did you choose??

BMW X5 xDrive40i - a custom build. The incentives and final numbers that were offered too good to pass up. But, of course not just numbers. We both loved the ride. For us, cabin very easy to navigate, all controls easy to reach, great tech and more spacious interior (checked the boxes for our personal needs). We also considered GLE 450.

I still haven't gotten word.
My dealership (Genesis of South Brunswick) states they're getting a shipment last week of December but no guarantee mine is in that shipment. If it was I would probably know by now.

Home now from picking it up. Here's my original car and the new GV80. This dealership has one Silver GV80 that's not spoken for yet supposed to hit their lot in the next day or so. It came in with mine but hasn't been through detailing yet. It's Universal Genesis in Orlando, Florida on OBT. Added on the 10 year / 100,000 mile bumper to bumper and the 5 year tires and rims protection at the last minute.

The color looks awesome on the GV80! It's not too gold and it has just enough silver blended in to enhance the chrome accents on the car!
What color combination did you choose for your interior?

if I had to describe the exterior color I’d say it is more pewter than gold or silver.

I've seen the color on a G90 at the dealership. On the side the sun was shining on it brought out more of the gold. The side that was shadowed had more of a pewter hue to it. It's a great color for the GV80.

Beautiful. Just saw one and drove it but the interior was black. I may have to get one built, I am looking for beige interior, what is the color is your interior.

Thank you, I ordered mine with the Beige/Black interior and I have no regrets. There's plenty of really nice interior color options on the GV80 but for me the beige and black interior provide a nice contrast with each other and those colors go well with the Gold Coast Silver exterior.

Leaning to the 3.5T Pretige. Can't find any Gold Coast Silver with beige/black interior at any dealer. I called Genesis Concierge to order but they have discontinued the Gold Coast Silver and Lima Red colors, now I have to decide on another color! What a Bummer!!!

Did any dealer confirm with you that the Gold Coast Silver & Lima Red are discontinued?

The Genesis Concierge told me about the Gold Coast Silver, then I called a dealer and he told me that was correct and the Lima Read was discontinued as well and Genesis hasn't updated their website. I am going to reach out to other dealers again, I really like the color. May have to go with Cardiff green.

Maybe there is a problem with those colors , I can't see why they would discontinue a color they just came out with.

I hope there's not a problem with the Gold Coast Silver paint as that's what I bought!

I purchased a Gold Coast Prestige 3.5 with black interior, and love the color. It changes from a pewter/gold to silver depending on the light. I would be disappointed to hear they stopped using this color, but it makes mine more unique. I wonder if they’re still considering it for the G80/GV70

Yep, I love my Gold Coast Silver color too. I was wondering the same thing, are they discontinuing the color on the other models as well? Matter of fact when I picked up my GV80 I also picked up a tube of touch up paint and it wasn't available yet as the parts manager said but he had a tube of Gold Coast Silver touch up paint available for the G90 (exactly the same color) so I purchased that. So I'm wondering the same thing, is the color being discontinued (along with the Lima Red) brand wide or just on the GV80?

My service department said they wouldn't feel safe selling me the G90 Gold Coast Silver touch up paint as it might not be exactly the same color as the GV80. That I should wait for the actual paint for my car to come in. They said from year to year there can be small differences in the paint colors.

Thanks for the heads-up on that, maybe I'll wait for the GV80 Gold Coast Silver touch up paint to come in. If it doesn't come in because Genesis discontinued the color for the GV80 I'll hold onto it and hopefully I'll never need it since I had my car wrapped with the 3M clear bra film.
