YES! Exactly the same with my 3.5 GV80 Prestige. I can hear the car coming down the street. In fact, I'm sitting here in my home office listening to the fan run while the car is idling in my driveway - outside. I'm going to have the dealer take a look when it's in for service in a month or so. Hopefully this isn't by design. Sounds like an HVAC system in an office building!Yes!
My 3.5 with the AC on sounds like a jet taking off. I have found it unusually loud for the vehicle. But on the outside. No noise issue when sitting in it.
It’s definitely the cooling system fan and/or condenser fans running at full speed.
It’s VERY noisey when walking by car when it’s running.
Did you ever solve the issue? Just bought one and it happened immediately. Cooling fan noise tied up to AC being on. Thinking about returning the car - pity because we love itYES! My 3.5 Prestige has the same issue. It is getting serviced today and hopefully they will get it resolved. Overall, love the car but hate having a $70k vehicle that is this loud. And I can hear the difference inside the car if stopped.
Yep, same here. Sounds like it's about to take off from the runway like a jet. It only happens when using the Heat or AC set Medium to High.
The fan noise is crazy. It might be quiet inside but after a short drive the radiator fan jumps up into a high speed as if the car is overheating...it's not. I was sitting inside our home and could hear the car in the driveway. The dealer said "it's normal since it's a big engine". That's ridiculous. I've has much larger engines with much more horsepower (Porsche Cayenne Turbo) and the fan remains quiet even at high temps.Does anyone else think the idle sound of the GV is excessively loud and not very refined?

Yes! The engine is fine but the radiator fan sounds like it goes into high speed even after a short drive. I spoke to consumer relations and their engineers claim this is “normal”. That would classify as the loudest radiator fan in automotive history. No way this is normal - seems like a sensor issue since the starts out fine and then jumps to high speed fan even after a short drive and the engine is still warm.Does anyone else think the idle sound of the GV is excessively loud and not very refined?

May I ask, was there a resolution to your complaint? Was anything done to adjust the GV80 to your satisfaction?My 3.5 Prestige has the same issue. Turn the AC off and it goes away. Turn it back on and it comes back.

It stopped me from buying the beautiful Prestige Signature I drove. I was scared of all the transmission & differential (shaking on turns) issues I’ve been researching and while sitting in the rear passenger seat when someone else drove me during test drive the passenger seat was vibrating. None of that is good sign and yes i heard sound too. The dealerships have “sales” people like off street & just everything combined gave me gut feeling to pass.Does anyone else think the idle sound of the GV is excessively loud and not very refined?

No because the dealers service seem completely untrained always going back to Korean engineers without full correction if even correct since many are posting same problems prevail.May I ask, was there a resolution to your complaint? Was anything done to adjust the GV80 to your satisfaction?

Turn off the AC and the idle is whisper quiet.
It still shouldn’t be that way. I didn’t but Signature Prestige I was lucky enough to be offered based on that & the lack of luxury in sales & service combined with so many forum events of wheel, wind & transmission issues. All that combined with bad service, no loaner let alone concierge pick up & drop off as promised & no parts to repair was all too much to swallow for $85kTurn off the AC and the idle is whisper quiet.

Yes, which is quite annoying. people have even commented that the car sounds are loud, especially for a luxury car.Does anyone else think the idle sound of the GV is excessively loud and not very refined?
