I too am interested in this topic.

Yes, currently I am looking to order a roof rack for my GV60 Performances. The roof rack designs looks quite nice. The price is the only set back as its 500 USD for the OEM ones.Just purchased a GV60. Looks like a rear hitch system is not available due to lack of clearance. Need to do roof rack system. Checked with parts dept and this was the advise given
I wrote to Stealth, and this is what they said:There is supposed to be a factory part for this in the US but I don't think you can get it yet.
If you don't want to wait for the OEM one, I inquired at stealthhitches.com and got this response:
"Yes it is one our top vehicles to develop. The first customer that brings us this vehicle to our Atlanta facility will leave with a free hitch. I added you to our wait list to receive updates."
So if anyone on the east coast near GA wants to get one for free, there you go.
I've just exchanged emails with Steve and he confirmed that the above is incorrect and his assessment was based on the Volve XC60 ... NOT the Genesis GV60. He is very much interested in having a GV60 brought into his shop to see if a hitch can be added to the car.I wrote to Stealth, and this is what they said:
"Hi Darrell,
We had this vehicle in and we could not fit it with our hitch. The Ioniq 5 will definitely not fit it. Thank you for the inquiry!
Best Regards,

So, none of their existing ones will work, I don't know if this means they won't develop one: I wrote back, asking.
I apologize, I misspoke, it was the Volvo XC60 where we had the issue.. We have not seen this vehicle and would like to get it in for development. Are you by chance near Atlanta. I will add you to the wait list to keep you updated on our progress and when it is available.
That would be fantastic if you would post it on Reddit. Also feel free to post the free hitch for the first customer that brings their vehicle to our Atlanta R&D facility. We would need to keep the vehicle for two days.
Best Regards,

I got the same message. If I wasn't in Boston, I'd go there and let him see, but alas, it is a bit of a hike.I've just exchanged emails with Steve and he confirmed that the above is incorrect and his assessment was based on the Volve XC60 ... I doubt that U-haul has the most available hitches. I hate to think of what a custom hitch would cost, and I wish Genesis would hurry up and make one available and/or make the specs available to places like stealth (I asked genesis about this, and they said they hadn't yet released specs to third party companies).I checked on U-hauls website, keying in the GV60 and received this message:
If U-Haul doesn't have a hitch for your vehicle, nobody does!
Your vehicle requires a custom-built hitch which we will gladly fabricate for you. If you are able to bring your vehicle to our Tempe, AZ Research & Development facility we'll provide you with a free U-Haul custom trailer hitch, including free installation, and a lifetime unlimited warranty in exchange for the use of your vehicle to fabricate the trailer hitch. We'll need the vehicle for four to five days. If you are interested in this offer please complete the form below and we'll contact you to schedule your appointment. This offer is only valid until one customer per vehicle can fulfill our requirements.
It is my understanding that Genesis (and Hyundai and Kia) all don't release "accessories" when their cars first come out. Trailer hitches for EV6 and Ioniq 5 are available now, but apparently, won't work on GV60. Very frustrating, my bike will fit in the back of the GV60, but that's not what I want. And sometimes I need to carry two bikes. What's so interesting is that there is whole section of the Owners Manual dedicated to towing....![]()
That is frustrating for sure. I agree about not wanting to put my bike inside and like you said, doesn't work for more than one. I still have my previous vehicle with a hitch, so it's a backup. It's my first time buying something so new like this, I didn't even think about how accessories might not be available right away.It is my understanding that Genesis (and Hyundai and Kia) all don't release "accessories" when their cars first come out. Congrats @Cnilm! Be sure sure to keep us updated with how your delivery goes. What are you planning on towing with your GV60?I am in the UK and am having my GV60 delivered next week. My Genesis contact has told me that the first batch of OEM tow bars/hitches was rejected due to poor quality and they are expecting the second batch to be available in the UK in mid-September. I am hoping to get one fitted at some point after delivery.
Hi Cnilm, little bit off topic but just wondered what date you actually placed your order? We’re you told 4-5 months and has it been accurate? I ordered on 22nd June.I am in the UK and am having my GV60 delivered next week.
