Congrats ! Your going to love it !! After you break it in a bit start to use the sport mode. It really changes the car.

Looking good @TBickell! What are some of your initial thoughts on the GV70 so far?

550 miles and loving it. It feels like such a premium vehicle. I've been blessed in my 60 years to have some great rides. All the big German brands, Vette's etc. This thing is just beautiful inside and out. It is so unique inside its really something. Kudo's to the design staff for taking some chances.

As far as the driving experience goes I would agree with others that it leans more towards the luxury side then the "sport" side of things. Probably a 60/40 split. Mainly because the exhaust note is a bit tame and that will be the chief knock when the reviews start to come out. Big pipes... kind of quiet. When you turn up the fake exhaust noise in the cabin it's plenty loud for me. When you put your foot in it in Sport or Sport + mode the whole thing transforms into a very fast aggressive driving experience. The automatic downshifts are rev-matched perfectly and the paddles work very quickly as well ( I just wish they were bigger and metal). Handling is sharp but not razor sharp. Little bit of body roll but how often are we pounding through a winding mountain road? The highway ride at speed is very quiet even with the 21' wheel/tire set up. I like the tires they put on it a lot.

Digital dash is awesome. Side view camera's engage with turn signals is a treat. Seats seem very comfortable. I was a bit unsure of the micro-suede inserts but it's a nice change and I think they will wear fine with a little care. Things they missed would be no cornering headlights. Genesis door-sill should light up. No 12v on the dash or up front for my radar detector. The eye camera on the dash is easily blocked by the steering wheel. I'd love to know more how the "road preview camera" works as it is supposed to "read the road" and adjust the suspension accordingly. Seems almost impossible. They also should have hid the rear wiper up top. Would have made the ass end look better. How often do we really use those things anyway. I would delete it of I could. I guess they couldn't as the deck release button is there. Odd.

I'm looking forward to my first long road trip and all report back. My first 2 tanks of gas went quickly and that's to be expected with a new engine and me giving riding it fairly hard. I saw 24 MPG on a 30 mile highway trip so I think this could do 25-27 conditions permitting. It's stupid hot here in Phoenix so that hurts MPG's a bit.

I think this vehicle will really put Genesis on the map. I love the GV80 as well and if I needed more room I would have got that but this fits my life perfectly right now.
