GV80 battery COMPLETELY DEAD after parking for a week

This morning we discovered our beautiful GV80 completely dead. The battery wouldn't even jump, it was so dead. Towed to the dealer, they're saying the car must be started AT LEAST TWICE PER WEEK due to all the network comms, otherwise this will happen, as if it's a known issue. The car has been parked for 7 or 8 days. Anyone familiar with this issue?

I've been dealing with the same issue for months now. The dealership kept my vehicle for a month and could not determine what the issue is.
Probably when they went out to get the car and bring it into the shop, the battery was dead.

Read through this forum as well as other GV80 forums you can find on the internet. There is a lot of talk about this. I seems that some people have this issue but most do not. I will post a forum here that you can read, here, buy not sure if they will allow me to post competition.

I have had my car parked at the airport and cruise ports for 8 days three or four times, and I had no issue stating my car. When ever I have checked my battery on the owner site to see how it is, it has never read over 72% even after driving it for 5 hours.
I have an 21 prestige with 2.5 and RWD just for reference.

Good luck
Never have had the issue either, but got scared enough to buy a NOCO 1250W jump starter that I carry in the car.
I have a similar one as well.

Thanks. I'm a member over there too. I've heard some say if you don't lock the car it might not drain as much? Can that be right?
I don't know, but I locked mine and had no issue. I think there is some kind of problem with the car if it can't hold the charge for 8 days. But there seems to be a few people with this issue.
I used to check battery charge on the owners site as I was one of the first gv70 owners to have the dead battery back in August 2021, but now I wanted to check just because and with app updates and all can't seem to find how to check battery charge. How do you get into it.
You can only do this on the web site and not the app. It's kind of hidden. After you log in scroll down to a black rectangle box near the bottom of the page that says "View connected services". Then Just below the diagram of you car, click on "See all". You will see it there just below the fuel level. Today mine says 69%
