To GV80 owners, what's your actual payload capacity and actual front and rear axel capacity? for 2.5 or 3.5....Should be in the plate on the door. Just researching what's the realistic towing capacity of GV80. A maximum tongue weight of 900#s from a 6000#s trailer might be almost all of the payload itself. The hitch hardware itself will reduce the payload permanently if it's fitted after production. Thanks in advance for your insight.

Welcome to the forum @EGP, the GV80 has a towing capacity of 6000 pounds so you'll likely be cutting it close with your trailer. What are you looking to tow with the GV80?

Yes, I quoted the 6000#s from the GV80 owners manual on their website, but yeah I am not looking to tow that weight. I am trying to see if the GV80 can realistically tow a ~3500# loaded RV. With upto ~15% as tongue weight going against the payload, thats ~525#s already. How much remaining payload capacity will be left for the driver+passenger/s+cargo+hitch hardware to be carried by the towing vehicle?

I think that should be safe to do. When you google GV80 payload it says 382 - 540 KG (842 - 1190 pounds) but I don't know where they got those numbers from.
