@17G80 from the Genesis USA promo material it seems to be amber. I hope that's still true. @Gen1GV80 can you confirm what color the turn signal is?

I’m afraid it’s red. There is a full review on thread: Genesis new review, not a press car.
It’s 80s red! The rest of the world amber. Disappointing

enjoy your new ride! Disappointing it’s red when every video from Korea showed amber. It should be Amber.
They gave the G90 amber taillight turn signals but went out of their way to give the GV80 red taillight turn signals? RIP logic in favor of styling choices

I believe that the G80 in that video is a pre production prototype much like the ones shown at the GV80 launch in Florida. Those also had amber turn signals.

As far as the red turn signals on the production GV80s, I believe that this is because the stop lamps don't meet the minimum luminous lens area for the federal standards so they've had to move it into where the turn signals illuminate. And due to either costs or laziness they've opted to have it blink red rather than an amber switchback (a la Jeep Cherokee and Ram 1500)

So far I haven't been able to get any confirmation on this but from what I've observed this appears to be a possible reason.

Edit: only fixed portions of the lamps count when measured so the portion of the lights on the boot unfortunately don't count.

Just watched a Gv80 commercial on nbcsports today. Commercial focused on the rear and long and behold amber flashing rear turn signals!
False advertising.
Thank you for your detailed post. No one else on the board seems to care. Not important.
Interesting! Some versions in the world seem to have amber, but not ours...

is there a way to tweak the control unit via coding or otherwise toget them amber?

Have you received your GV80 yet, or is it still on order?
I’m a bit confused. U.S dealership videos show rear turn signals as amber. Maybe hard to see since they’re bright and adjacent to the red taillights.

Not a boy nor girl; and pretty confident everyone here are adults.

Can’t answer for anyone else but I travel and live both in Europe and Asia for 5 year stints, usually bring U.S. spec vehicles and must follow the countries vehicle laws. One law at most locations is amber turn signal indicators at all four corners. Having said that, wondering if there is a tail light swap or coding tweak for amber rear turn signals.
