I believe mine are bland white (2022 GV80). Do not change along with the ambient cabin lighting. Battery operated no less.

Battery Operated? Well that is odd. I guess I'll be suprised when the car arrives.

Battery operated? Maybe by the 12 Volt battery, or are you saying these take something like disposable AA's? I've never heard of such a thing. Not possible, IMO.

That is what I was thinking. I would hate to think I paid an extra $395 for battery operated illuminated scuff plates. My 2009 SLK350 has illuminated scuff plates and it's 13 years old. I wouldn't think car manufactures would go backwards.

You have to be careful believing / trusting anyone with very low post counts and no history, and also posting in the wrong forum.

Thanks for the welcome. Anyways, my car was delivered with the illuminated door scuffs. The lighting is white, and they require a CR 2340 battery which is accessible beneath the scuff plate. These scuff plates are shown on my Monroney as a $395.00 option. The instruction sheet was included with the rest of the paperwork upon delivery of the car.

Is there a link to a site where we can order these online?

Sure thing. I'm not sure if I will have them installed if they are battery powered. Saying that, it might be a while before I get the car. I just ordered it Jan 1. My guesstimate is I probably won't get it until June or July.

Want to thank you again for the info on illuminated door scuff plate for GV80. The dealership where I got my 23 GV80 made it seem that they weren’t available and until you gave me the part number, I was striking out finding them. much rather have preferred a scuff plate that had to be hard wired as opposed to battery operated, but nice touch compared to what I had. What was crazy install instructions were not included and found out from dealership I purchased in Virginia the install instructions are included as a QR code on the packaging/box.

Same for me on my 2023 GV70. It does come with instructions and a extra battery.

I ordered my GV70 with the illuminated door scuffs and it arrived without them, and I was told they weren't available. I waited 7.5 months for my GV70 and picked it up 4/1/2022. Has anyone actually seen the scuff plates on a GV70, not an 80?
