First generation Genesis owner checking in.

Owned a 2010 sedan for a couple years and liked it till I moved onto a Lexus LS500 and now a Mercedes CLA. Not entirely happy with the CLA but content enough with it that I can wait for the the new Genesis SUV.

My hopes is that it comes with hybrid powertrain and takes design cues both visually and performance wise from the Cayenne and Stelvio.

Is there a particular reason why you'd switch to a Genesis SUV from your CLA?

It will never come anywhere near Mercedes, BMW or other top tier luxury brands. Genesis is in the business of affordable luxury.

I agree they definitely have come a long way with their designs and their performance. Affordable luxury is a good way to put it GenesisFan.

Yep.
Infiniti did it equally as well but having seen more Genesis products than Infiniti's, I rather go Genesis.
Although i'll admit the Q50 and QX50 are solid products.

Acura is now on my watchlist with the new Type S sedan, hopefully that means an SUV as well. Always loved Japanese luxury cars.

Acura's designs have been pretty good in recent years and definitely warrant attention. But I really think Genesis is going to make a statement when they start rolling out their SUVs.
