When the dealer put the plate on the front, it was at the center bottom of the front grille. I didn’t like the look at all, so I had it removed and keep the frame with the plate in the car in case I need to show it. I would tell the cop they can’t attach it because the mounting bracket is back ordered (Like everything else in the world!)

I've gone a month so far with no (New Hampshire) front plate; if I'm forced to I'll use a bracket that mounts under the front bumper, designed for show cars the plate can be tilted down and slid under the car when not needed, or pulled forward and tilted up as needed. I used this bracket on a previous Alfa Romeo (pictured with the manufacturers mounting plate up high, and down low with this bracket. If I use it on the GV80 I'll center it down low. I got the bracket on Amazon for $55

I'm searching for a front license plate mount alternative. On the grill just does not work for this vehicle! I have used tow hook mounts in the past, but this vehicle has more sensors than any of my past installs. Has anyone found the solution? This seems like a creative GV80 forum - I am sure there is at least one creative craftsman that has cracked this nut. Thanks for the help.

i was thinking about just putting the plate on the backside of the passenger visor, maybe a couple of rubber bands and when I see a cop flip it down in view and flip it back up when it's all clear. Actually after taking another look I put the plate leaning against the back side of the infotainment screen, too at even height of screentape along bottom side to prevent slipping down, barely visible from inside.butveasily visible from front.

I live in a state with only one license plate. But the last three cars I purchased here, (Including my 21 GV80) came with the licence plate mount in a plastic bag in the trunk with a guide on where to install it. I would assume if your buying a car in a state that requires a front plate, they will mount it prior to releasing the car. I am not sure why there are so many questions here unless I am not understanding
Material property Rectangle Circuit component Bumper Plastic

Triangle Rectangle Font Pattern Circle

Rectangle Glass Font Plastic Electric blue

what the issue is.

I have the factory mount. The dealers in CA are leaving it up to the customer whether or not to install because it looks like @&$! We are trying to find out if a tow hook mount placement will interfere with the sensors.

For the Genesis GV80, In states/countries where the front license plate is required the only place that I have heard you can place the front license plate without having sensors go off is smack dead center of the grille. That is a serious design flaw in my opinion.

It's one of the main reasons why I purchased this vehicle. I really do not wish to get pulled over for not having a front license plate.

Hopefully someone here might know a solution for the proper placement of the front license plate without having the sensors for the GV80 go off.
we put plate here on gv 70 does not affect any sensor, had to design and make plate holder

I went with a license plate relocator from Tego- worth every penny. I’ve had my 2023 GV80 since late August -drive with the plate down - have not been stopped so far. Whenever I have to park on a public street or meter I have the plate showing to avoid a ticket. Love that besides Tego remote control fob I control the plate relocator with their app.
