I'm not sure if this is an issue with my specific car or if this affects all GV80's, so I thought I'd get some input from other owners. I regularly drive in rural areas with narrow, winding roads and it feels like the car is actively trying to kill me. It will try to turn into corners way too early and keep turning after the turn has already ended. There is also an issue on highways, when using cruise control with LFA, it drives like a drunk. Constantly weaving, I guess trying to find center but it never stops weaving. The auto-lane change has not worked once.

The blind spot monitoring is also way too sensitive. It constantly goes off when there is a car 2 or even 3 lanes over from the lane I'm moving into. Constant alerts just means it gets ignored, making it useless...

I'm also having an issue where the rotary control will stop working for the radio/media while driving. It will still work for menus and settings but not radio or media. It usually starts working again the next time I drive, but this is very annoying.

I expected some gremlins in a 1st production year car and overall I am happy with my GV80 and it's still the best looking SUV on the road!

I don't know if it is the same situation as I had. Yes the steering always tried to correct me when just driving on second or city roads. So just by chance I turned off the LKA (Botton is on lower left side of dash). Now I have complete control over the steering etc. If you turn the LKA off, it will stay off until you turn it back on. For local roads and city driving there is no fighting the steering wheel, old fashion driving.
Also maybe your fighting the steering wheel is a result of the car wanting to drive maybe closer to the centre line where you want to drive closer to the shoulder.. Yes it will fight you all the way. I don't think there is anyway to adjust this situation. But I leave the LKA OFF, and enjoy the drive.

If you set the “based on driving style” it will learn your style and won’t fight you. Maybe try that?

I joined just for this issue (so far)

Our 80 gets too close to to big trucks on the hwy, side to side, with auto driving. If I try to go to the left it fights and wants to get closer. The center doesn’t seem like the center and the it has an excessive range on what it uses for center.

Other issues.

when purchased it was the quietest and smoothest ride I ever experienced. Still quiet but feels like a cheap lawn mower vibrating now, all speeds never excessive but always there. Initially thought I would ask the dealer to check tire balance , fought me just to check (twice now) never did . Feel like I bought a vehicle at not only at a Hyundai dealer but bad 1. Other issues have added to this. I no longer talk to the service person my wife does, doesn’t even know how much he has “pissed me off“ on his condensing attitude , result of test dive is ”normal”

a complaint not broken but foolish design to me…the sound system adjustment particularly the fader has no incremental adjustments, either fully a single speaker point or in the middle. Lack of equilizer for sound tayloring is also missing . Sound quality as it is now is not acceptable for this expensive of vehicle. I think it could be a much improved by a software update if someone cared.

I also a 5 year Benz van …it is now smoother then the 80 and I enjoy getting my vehicle serviced there by nice people .

Went on another road trip , when on the hwy and watched a little closer, when I let the 80 drive it rides with the driver seat definitely right sided compared to the vehicle in front of us and when no vehicles around I compared to the darker oil stained center part of the lane. I think it needs adjustment not available to end users…

I agree, @Fett. Lane center assist is way too active for me, tries to re-adjust too frequently. The blind spot monitoring is even more distracting, and yes, gives alerts even when a car is 2-3 lengths behind, and you can change lanes very safely...I have not driven another car that ‘over-reacts‘ to blind spot as much as this one, I wonder if Hyundais/Kias are programmed similarily? Seems like a choice between an overactive nanny or no assist at all when something in-between would be much preferable.

I think your are saying you have the same issue as me but not sure. For me, the car wants to drive further to the right than I want to drive. It just does not seem centered. (It is probably me that is not centered but I want to drive where I want drive go. It is always a struggle to keep it where I want so I have been turning it off. I have to look into that learning setting and maybe that will solve my problem.
